SCOUTING REPORT: The former defender aims for his fourth letter as one of the team[apos]s best offensive linemen in 2008 ... depending on whether the RedHawk quarterback is a right-hander or a left-hander, he will be played at the tackle spot that protects the all-important backside ... will be a third-year starter.
2007: Started all 13 games at right tackle ... altogether he has been a starter in 21 games, including the last 19 in a row ... he and Miami[apos]s other offensive linemen gained the unique honor of being named the Mid-American Conference[apos]s Offensive Player of the Week for their performance vs. Buffalo ... graded out at 82 percent and allowed only two sacks ... had 58 knock-downs and eight pins ... recorded six games with a championship performance (grading out at higher than 80 percent, no penalties, and no sacks).
2006: Started eight of the team[apos]s 12 games, including the last six consecutive contests ... first year on offensive line after spending first two seasons at Miami on the defensive side of the ball.
2005: Saw action in seven games at defensive end, making three tackles.
2004: Redshirted.
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner while filling a variety of positions at St. Henry High School ... first-team all-conference pick on both sides of the ball as a senior ... selected to compete in Ohio[apos]s North-South All-Star game ... coached by Jeffrey Starkey ... also a four-year letterwinner in basketball and three-time letterwinner in track and field.
PERSONAL: Son of David and Phyllis Sutter ... earned Eagle Scout honors ... majoring in engineering management at Miami.
