March 21, 2026 (Women's Basketball): Game Recap: NCAA Tournament at West Virginia
"I’m proud of our team. I think we still accomplished a lot. We won two MAC championships...we're going to learn from all this experience and keep that momentum going into next year as well."
"[Our seniors] jump-started this thing. We have big goals here; this is just a step. They helped get us here, just like kids in the past. Each year we have gone, they helped get us to another level, and next year, we intend to blow the roof off." - Glenn Box

March 20, 2026 (Men's Basketball): Game Recap: NCAA Tournament vs. Tennessee
"This was an unforgettable season. This team will be remembered as one of the greatest Miami teams of all time. We went undefeated; we'll be stamped in Miami history forever-something that every person on this team will carry on with them for life." - Trey Perry

March 20, 2026 (Women's Basketball): Jurjo, No. 13 RedHawks Up For Challenge of Shutting Down No. 4 WVU
If Miami is going to get enough stops to advance to the second round, its stopper (Núria Jurjo) will need to be special. But so far this season, she's been exactly that. Plus an NCAA Tournament notebook on 'Press Virginia', a sold-out game, and more in our update from the RedHawks' practice in Morgantown.

March 19, 2026 (Men's Basketball): On to Philly: The Journey Continues for Perry, Kirby and RedHawks
Today's notebook from Miami's practice in Philadelphia breaks down a quick turnaround (the RedHawks --at least the few who were awake-- got their first look at Xfinity Mobile Arena around 4 a.m.), the program's approach to scouting, the season-long growth of freshman guards Trey Perry and Justin Kirby, and much, much more.

March 18, 2026 (Men's Basketball): Electric! Elmer, RedHawks Advance Past SMU on Unforgettable Night in Dayton
Every time it didn't seem like the building could get louder, it did.
Every time Miami hit a big shot, somehow the RedHawks followed it up with an even bigger one.
Every time SMU made a run, the Red and White had an answer.
And every time Eian Elmer buried a three-pointer…?
Re-live Miami's first March Madness win since 1999 with our MiamiRedHawks.com story from inside a Red-and-White-filled UD Arena.

March 18, 2026 (Women's Basketball): How 'Sweet' It Is: Inside the RedHawks' Postgame Ice Cream Tradition
Country roads, meet Rocky Road? Find out why road wins are especially 'sweet' for Miami Women's Basketball.
The RedHawks stop for ice cream after every win away from home. Amber Scalia tried early on to order a banana split but was told, "You can't get a banana split 'til we win the whole thing!"
Well, after Miami won the MAC Tournament title Saturday, guess what?

March 17, 2026 (Men's Basketball): Skaljac, RedHawks Burst Onto NCAA Tournament Stage
Luke Skaljac looked like he was playing peekaboo.
Miami's First Four press conference was about to start at UD Arena Tuesday afternoon, but since the clock hadn't quite made it to the appointed time of 12:50 p.m., the RedHawks had a couple of minutes to kill behind the black curtains. Still, Skaljac couldn't resist parting the curtains a few inches and taking a quick glance around to get a glimpse of the room where he and his teammates would eventually address the media to officially get the RedHawks' NCAA itinerary underway.
In some ways, it was only fitting that Skaljac's face was the first one the assembled crowd of reporters saw. Because it's fair to say that without him, Miami might not be in the NCAA Tournament at all.
Go behind the scenes in Dayton with our notebook from Miami's open practice in preparation for the First Four.

March 15, 2026 (Women's Basketball): RedHawks to Play at West Virginia in First Round of NCAAs
The Miami University women's basketball team will face West Virginia in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, March 21. The Mid-American Conference champion RedHawks (28-6), who earned a No. 13 seed in the Big Dance, will travel to Morgantown, W.Va. to take on the fourth-seeded host Mountaineers (27-6).
"It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate this tremendous season and it's great to see the joy.
"I know for a fact that these kids really appreciated the moment. They put a lot of hard work into this…I'm just delighted that everyone can enjoy this moment." - Glenn Box
March 15, 2026 (Men's Basketball): RedHawks Are Dancing! 31-1 Miami Earns At-Large Bid to NCAA Tournament
There were admittedly some nerves Sunday night as the RedHawks gathered together in the Gloor Auditorium of the Randy Gunlock Family Athletic Performance Center —complete with local and national television cameras following their every move— to learn their postseason fate.
When Miami's name was read, the room erupted with excitement, although the outburst seemed a bit tempered by the longstanding belief that the RedHawks had done more than enough to secure a ticket to the Big Dance.
"I was very confident," said junior wing Eian Elmer later. "I think it's hard to leave a team that's 31-0 in the regular season out. I think it wouldn't look right for the sport diminishing something like that, something that's very rarely done."
Miami will play SMU Wednesday night in UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio, with the winner moving on to face sixth-seeded Tennessee in Philadelphia two days later.

March 14, 2026 (Women's Basketball): Trophy Time! RedHawks Claim MAC Tournament Crown
The celebration was loud. But the celebration was also quiet. There were so many smiles. And maybe even more tears.
The Miami University women's basketball team started Saturday's MAC Championship game on a 16-0 run and never looked back; go behind the scenes for all the sights and sounds in Cleveland after the RedHawks beat Toledo to capture a trophy and earn a berth in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

March 13, 2026 (Women's Basketball): Miami Shoots Past Ohio in MAC Tournament Semis
If you out-score your opponent by 36 points from the three-point line, you should win easily. And that's exactly what happened for top-seeded Miami Friday in its semifinal against fifth-seeded Ohio. The RedHawks hit 16 of 32 triples and held the Bobcats to a 4-of-29 showing behind the arc en route to a lopsided victory.
"This is a beautiful game when it's played right and when you have everyone working in synchronization. You definitely felt that today…it's not every day you're hitting on all cylinders." - Glenn Box

March 12, 2026 (Women's Basketball): Singer Leads Miami Past KSU in MAC Quarterfinals
Tamar Singer is known for her playmaking. But on a day that she moved into 11th place in MAC history in single-season assists, it was all of the OTHER aspects of the Miami point guard's game that stood out: 25 points, seven assists and five rebounds in 38 minutes. The result: A 65-58 victory over Kent State to lift the RedHawks into the MAC Tournament semifinals.
"The biggest thing that separates her from everyone else is her ability to defend the ball, to initiate our defense...to create havoc...she does so much for us on that side... Today it was great to see her score the ball because we really needed her to." - Glenn Box

March 12, 2026 (Men's Basketball): Game Recap: MAC Quarterfinal vs. UMass
Despite the result in Thursday morning's quarterfinal against eighth-seeded UMass, Miami can become the first MAC team to earn an at-large bid to March Madness since the Wally Szczerbiak-led squad in 1999 advanced to the Sweet 16 when the brackets are unveiled Sunday night.
"There's still a lot of season left. Can we continue to improve? I think that's what the great teams do...Our guys have earned the right, in my opinion, to play in the NCAA Tournament." - Travis Steele
March 3, 2026 (Men's Basketball): 30-0! Miami Nets 22nd MAC Title With Win Over Toledo
It was a celebration 21 years in the making, and no one wanted to leave afterward.
The final buzzer sounded. The fans erupted. The trophy was presented. The confetti fell. (And wow, was there a lot of confetti.) The net was cut down, piece by piece. And the No. 19 Miami University men's basketball team officially claimed its 22nd all-time MAC championship after a thrilling 74-72 win over Toledo in front of a sellout crowd Tuesday night.
When Peter Suder, the RedHawks' leading scorer with 19 points, finally made it to the postgame press conference after the building had mostly emptied out, he arrived at the podium with a well-deserved necklace: The lion's share of the net that had previously hung from the rim at the south end of Millett Hall.

Feb. 3, 2026 (Men's Basketball): No. 23 Miami Moves to 23-0 With Win at Buffalo
"We keep finding ways to win, and tonight was just another example of that." - Luke Skaljac
From spin moves to step-backs, with up-and-under moves on one trip and fancy footwork the next, Skaljac came through every time the Red and White needed a big basket. The sophomore guard collected a career-high 19 points and five steals as No. 23 Miami moved to 23-0 on the year.

Jan. 31, 2026 (Men's Basketball): Miami Pulls Away From NIU at Sold-Out Millett
With program legend Ron Harper in attendance, the undefeated Miami RedHawks were locked in a tight battle with Northern Illinois in the second half Saturday afternoon.
And then, all of a sudden, they weren't.
Trailing by five points with 15 minutes to play, No. 24/25 Miami closed the game on a dominant, lopsided, clinical, ridiculous, insert-your-adjective-here 38-9 run to pull away from the visiting Huskies and improve to 22-0.

Jan. 7, 2026 (Men's Basketball): Elmer's Career Night Lifts Miami Over UMass
Elmer was filling it up…Byers was dunking…Kirby was hustling…Woolfolk was muscling…Suder was distributing…Perry was battling… Atlason was flamethrowing…but perhaps most importantly, the thousands of students in attendance were screaming.
Playing their first-ever game at Millett Hall as a nationally-ranked team, the No. 24/25 Miami RedHawks rallied from a double-digit deficit in the first half to extend their record home winning streak to 27 games thanks to a career-high 30 points from Eian Elmer.

Dec. 6, 2025 (Football): Game Recap: MAC Championship vs. Western Michigan
"Really proud of my guys: We took this thing maybe a little further than I thought we would at different points this year.
At the beginning of the year, I definitely always expect to be in Detroit. I knew we had a changing of the guard; you have 28 seniors you're losing, and you don't have a lot of returners. But I have a lot of confidence in who we had...the year was up and down...but really proud of our coaches and players. We regrouped...
"So just proud of everybody in the organization, to be honest with you." - Chuck Martin

Nov. 19, 2025 (Football): RedHawks Become Bowl-Eligible With 37-20 Win at Buffalo
Thomas Gotkowski came off the bench to throw for 185 yards and produced a pair of touchdowns to help the RedHawks became bowl-eligible for the ninth time in the last 10 seasons and keep their MAC title hopes alive heading into the final week of the regular season.
"You always want your opportunity in life, and I always tell them, 'No matter what the case is, just be excited about your opportunity, because sometimes you don't get them. Thomas got an opportunity tonight and obviously not only took advantage of it but he helped us win a huge, huge football game.
"He's prepared every day to be the starter, even when he was third and didn't get any practice reps…he's prepared all year and I'm very proud of him." - Chuck Martin

Nov. 4, 2025 (Football): Game Recap: Miami at Ohio
"This win would have put us in great shape, but this is our life: We're 4-1 and there's a lot of teams 4-1 in our league.
"We've got to continue to mature and grow. We've come a long way with this team; I love these guys. This is just another hard lesson, and how we handle this and move forward will tell us a lot about ourselves." - Chuck Martin

Oct. 25, 2025 (Football): RedHawks Rally Past WMU 26-17 in Battle of MAC Heavyweights
It didn't seem like anything could bother Dequan Finn Saturday afternoon during a come-from-behind 26-17 victory over Western Michigan.
Case in point: Although Western Michigan had gone 11 straight quarters without allowing a touchdown, Miami turned the tide down the stretch in a battle of the final two unbeaten teams in the MAC and out-scored the Broncos 17-0 in the deciding fourth quarter.
So yes, nothing flustered Finn. Until postgame, that is: When head coach Chuck Martin popped his head inside the press conference room and intentionally yelled to try and scare his seventh-year quarterback mid-answer.

Oct. 18, 2025 (Football): RedHawks Top EMU 44-30 For Fourth-Straight Win
How do you score more points than the other team? One good recipe: Don't let the other team have the ball.
Miami dominated the time-of-possession battle Saturday afternoon, holding the ball for more than 42 minutes and converting 11-of-15 third downs en route to a 44-30 victory over Eastern Michigan that wasn't nearly as close as the final score indicates.
"I loved the way we came out. We talked about starting fast –we haven't started very fast the last couple weeks— and we did." - Chuck Martin

Sept. 27, 2025 (Football): RedHawks Blank Lindenwood 38-0 on Homecoming
The Miami University football team was looking for solid performances in all three phases of the game for its Homecoming contest against Lindenwood.
The RedHawks delivered on all accounts, setting the tone early and cruising to a comfortable 38-0 shutout win over the Lions.

Sept. 20, 2025 (Football): Game Recap: Miami vs. UNLV
"We had a chance to beat a really good football team. We did enough good things to do it, and then we did enough bad things that negated our good things. That's where we're at; we've got to keep plugging away...this could have been our springboard to really get us going." - Chuck Martin

Sept. 6, 2025 (Football): Game Recap: Miami at Rutgers
"Offensively, we did some better things: Made some big plays – two 100-yard receivers. We learned a ton of hard lessons on offense last week…we learned some really hard lessons on defense [today]…We've got a lot of work, but I like our group. I like that we fight. I like that we stuck together two weeks in a row. I like that everybody's competing hard…
"We made plenty of plays the last two weeks, but we didn't make enough…we got better this week and did some better things. We're going to learn some more lessons, and you get better from those lessons, and we're going to be fine." - Chuck Martin

August 28, 2025 (Football): Game Recap: Miami at Wisconsin
"I was just proud of the guys and the fight we showed all night. [It's] something that we can use to push through the rest of the season – a good starting step for us [to] motivate us that when we all do our job, we can be a really good defense this year." - Adam Trick

Aug. 19, 2025 (Football): RedHawk Report: Football Camp Practice No. 17

Aug. 18, 2025 (Football): RedHawk Report: Football Camp Practice No. 16
Miami Football is about the 'relentless pursuit of victory.' In fact, even the concession stand graphics on the west side of Yager Stadium display that mantra.
What does 'relentless pursuit of victory' entail and require? Well, at fall camp this morning, it seemed to involve relentless pursuit – literally. Go inside the next-to-last practice of camp with our daily MiamiRedHawks.com notebook.

Aug. 16, 2025 (Football): RedHawk Report: Football Camp Practice No. 14
It wasn't quite football gameday at Yager Stadium.
But it felt like the next best thing.
Five weeks before Miami Football's first home game of the season, the RedHawks held their annual 'Kickoff with the Community' event this morning in Oxford. Over the course of an hour or so, the Miami offense, defense, and special teams were all involved in scrimmage periods that gave the crowd gathered in the east stands a sneak peek at head coach Chuck Martin's 2025 team.

Aug. 13, 2025 (Football): RedHawk Report: Football Camp Practice No. 12
If you watch Miami Football practice, you'll notice Eli Blakey.
No. 1 in red is usually somewhere around the ball, and more often than not, the redshirt senior safety from Louisville, Ky. is someone that can be not only seen, but heard.
Red-zone one-on-ones? Team period? It doesn't matter. If Blakey makes the play, he'll have something to say. Most of the time, that phrase is: "All day!"
