2006: Started eight games at defensive end ... led team with 5.0 quarterback sacks and paced defensive linemen with 7.5 hits for loss ... ranked second among defensive linemen with 28 tackles, including 15 solo hits ... in on a season-high four tackles in season-opening loss to Northwestern (Aug. 31) ... blocked a field goal in a two-point loss to Kent State (Sept. 16) ... made two tackles for loss in win at Buffalo (Oct. 14).
2005: Earned Miami[apos]s Freshman of the Year Award in 2005, finishing second on the team with 4.0 QB sacks and third with 8.0 TFLs.

HIGH SCHOOL: Led Boylan Catholic High School as a running back, rushing for 2,806 yards and 42 touchdowns in two seasons and being named the league MVP as a senior ... team went to state quarterfinals in 2003 ... also lettered one season as a sprinter on the track team ... prep coach was Daniel Appino.
