WOMACK ELECTED TO MAC HALL OF FAME
The Mid-American Conference announced its 2022 MAC Hall of Fame Induction Class as 12 new members are to be inducted in the MAC Hall of Fame. In recognition of the 50 year anniversary of the passing of Title IX, this year's class features individuals from each member institution who have contributed to the advancement of women's athletics and includes Karen Womack. Womack was a senior-level administrator at Miami from 1980-2007 who also served as senior woman administrator.Â

MEN'S BASKETBALL
A furious comeback that had the RedHawks within six in the final minute of the game came up short as the Miami men's basketball team dropped an 85-75 decision to No. 2 seed Kent State University last Thursday in the Mid-American Conference quarterfinals at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. Mekhi Lairy set Miami's single-season record for free-throw percentage (.915), while Precious Ayah set the RedHawks' single-season record for field goal percentage (.695). This concludes the season for the RedHawks.Â

HOCKEY
The Miami RedHawk hockey season came to an end Saturday night with a hard-fought 5-1 loss at No. 3 Denver in NCHC quarterfinal action. In Friday's game, Miami got the scoring started early, but Denver responded with four consecutive goals en route to a 5-2 decision. Ludvig Persson finished the season with a team-record 1,027 saves.
