A Letter From Haeley Tran

Dear Miami,

My time with you has truly been a dream come true and I wouldn't change it for the world. Looking back at my time in Oxford, I cannot help but smile. Between the 6 a.m. workouts, late nights studying and hum Tran bling college moments, are the most joyous times in my college career where I found true instances of a youth well spent.

You have tested my ability academically and athletically but out of this I rose not only a MAC champion but a graduated alumna in two majors and an honors recognition. I'm so deeply grateful for the opportunity, for all the amazing people I met along the way, for all the personal growth and for all you have prepared me for the future.

Thank you to Miami Athletics for allowing my 6-year-old self's dream come to fruition and most importantly, thank you for giving me the opportunity to make my family proud in more ways than one. All of this could have not been possible if it weren't for the donors ensuring that I, along with all the other athletes, had the best experience possible in addition to the support staff and coaches. I'm so eternally grateful for everyone involved: the coaches, the staff, the donor support, my teammates and so much more.

Thank you, Miami, for the opportunity to live out my childhood dream and for memories that I will carry throughout my life forever. This school out in the middle of the Midwest among the cornfields will always hold a special place in this Californian's heart ... for forever and a day.
