
Pinkerton Added to Wellness Staff

The new assistant athletic trainer will oversee baseball and tennis.
OXFORD, Ohio – Miami University's human performance and wellness department has hired Kate Pinkerton to serve as assistant athletic trainer.
Pinkerton will work primarily with the RedHawks' baseball and tennis programs.

Kate is a rising young professional who truly embodies our philosophy of a holistic comprehensive approach to providing exemplary healthcare to our student-athletes. Her background with the functional movement screen and corrective exercise enhances our services to them as well."
Pinkerton spent the past few months in an athletic training fellowship at Florida Atlantic University, where she primarily worked with the Owls' softball program while assisting the cheer and dance teams. Prior to her stay in Boca Raton, she was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at McNeese State University, where she handled all sports medicine matters with the Cowboys' baseball team.
Prior to her two years in Louisiana, Pinkerton served a volunteer internship with the MLS' Chicago Fire and was an athletic training student at Ohio State.
Pinkerton earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Ohio State in 2017 and picked up a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from McNeese State in 2019.
