2018-19: Outdoor - Ran in seven meets ... finished eighth in the 200m and ninth in the 400m at the MAC Championships (5/9-11) while running on the fifth-place 4x100 team ... set a 400m PR at the Billy Hayes Invitational (5/3), posting a 47.73 en route to winning the event ... notched a total of eight relay wins as a member of Miami's successful 4x100 and 4x400 teams. Indoor - Competed in five meets ... had a season-best 49.40 in the 400 at the Meyo Invitational (2/1-2) ... finished second in both the 400 and 200 at Indiana's Gladstein Invitational (1/18-19).
2017-18: Outdoor – Competed in six meets … finished ninth in the 400m (49.57) while running with the third-place 4x400m relay (3:14.00) and fourth-place 4x100m relay at the MAC Outdoor Championships (5/10-12) … took second in the 400m (49.65) at the Billy Hayes Invitational (5/4). Indoor – Ran in three meets … part of the winning distance medley relay (10:05.66) at the Indiana Relays (1/26-27).
2016-17: Outdoor – Raced in seven meets … won the 200m (22.18) and finished second in the 400m (personal-best 48.19) at the RedHawk Invitational (4/29) … took 10th in the 400m (52.59) at the MAC Outdoor Championships (5/11-13). Indoor –Competed in three meets … finished fourth in the 200m (22.15) and fifth in the 400m (48.44) at the GVSU Big Meet (2/10-11).
2015-16: Outdoor – Ran in eight meets … took ninth in the 200m (21.99) and 400m (49.20) while running a leg with the sixth-place 4x100m relay team (41.62) at the MAC Outdoor Championships (5/12-14) … won the 400m (season-best 48.39) and finished runner-up in the 200m (season-best 21.59) at the Ball State Challenge (4/15-16). Indoor – Raced in three meets … won the 400m (51.30) at the Cedarville Invite (2/5).
High School: Earned four letters in track and field, two in football and one in swimming … part of a school record setting 4x400m and sprint medley relay team … earned academic all-state honors in football … named track MVP all four years.
Personal: Born Oct. 21, 1996 … son of Mary and Dave Owens … majoring in mechanical engineering.
