RedHawks Compete in Chicago at Lakefront Invite

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Miami RedHawks cross country team traveled to Chicago this week to compete among 25 other teams in the Loyola Lakefront Invite. The women competed first in a 6K, and the men followed in an 8K.

The RedHawks are set to compete in the Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind. on October 16th.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Morgan Dick finished first for the RedHawk women, finishing the 6K in 20:03.31 and Marisa Heil finished one second later (20:04.66). The pair finished 27th and 29th out of 150 runners, respectively.
- Senior Cara Razavi crossed the line next at 20:40.26, followed by sophomore Monica Guijarro (21:06.46).
- Linda Conchetto (21:29.95), Lily Eddington (22:13.22), Grace Streek (22:35.78) and Maggie Epp (22:41.54) also raced for the RedHawks.
- Evan Jarold was the first RedHawk man to finish. He posted a time of 23:41.4, his personal best time, and Petros Sanchez Ropero closely followed, finishing in 23:43.43. They finished 61st and 66th out of 153 total runners, respectively.
- Next was Luke Mussard, finishing in 23:49.43. Chris Perkins followed, crossing the line in 23:50.20.
- Ishak Mekideche finished in 23:52.98, followed by Ben Fahnestock, who crossed the line in 23:58.2.
- Also competing for the RedHawks were Josh Razor (24:05.56), Brandon Haas (24:52.16), Anis Abdaoui (24:55.36) and Ian Jacobs (25:26.50).
