RedHawks Rally to Take 9-8 Extra-Inning Win Over Loyola Chicago

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Wolves opened the scoring at the top of the second with a three-run home run, as runners on second and third crossed the plate.
- The RedHawks answered in the bottom of the second with a three-run home run from Danitza Hernandez, bringing home Evey Dieudonne and Mia Estrello from second and first. Bailey Manos followed with a home run of her own, and Ella Carter tripled to drive in Katy Olive, giving the RedHawks a 5–3 lead.
- The Wolves responded at the top of the third with a sacrifice fly to cut the deficit to one, 5–4.
- In the bottom half of the inning, Dieudonne singled to plate Erin Pinter from second, and Manos singled to bring home Dieudonne from second, extending the RedHawks lead to 7–4.
- In the top of the fourth, the Wolves scored twice on two infield singles, making the score 7-6.
- The Wolves make it a tie game in the top of the sixth, scoring off of a single to the infield.
- In the top of the eighth extra inning, the Wolves scored on a groundout, bringing the score to 8-7.
- The RedHawks answered immediately in the bottom half, with Kari Krueger and Jeneva Mitchell scoring off a single by Pinter to secure the 9–8 win.
NOTES:
- Erin Pinter went 2-for-3 at the plate, had one run and was credited with two RBI.
- Danitza Hernandez was credited with three RBI and had one home run.
- Bailey Manos had one home run and was credited with two RBI.
- Ella Carter went 2-for-3 at the plate, had one RBI and had the only triple of the game.
- Evey Dieudonne went 2-for-4 at the plate and was credited with one RBI.
- The Red and White had the only double play of the game.
