HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Four kills from the RedHawks and a Raegan Lantz solo block gave the RedHawks a 5-4 lead in the first set. A kill and service ace from Lindy Radaszewski kept Miami ahead 10-7 with the midpoint of the first set approaching. The Chippewas evened the score at 10 and went on to take an 18-11 lead. Ellie Hanson put down a kill and service ace to score back-to-back points at 18-13. A pair of late kills from Coyne and a solo block from Warrick brought the RedHawks within striking distance at 23-21, but the effort fell just short, as Central Michigan claimed the first set 25-22.
- Central Michigan surged ahead 7-2 in the second set when three kills from Miami and two errors cut the deficit to just two points and forced a Chippewas timeout at 9-7. The Chippewas managed to fend off the RedHawks at 14-10 when three kills from Creech sparked the Miami offense, eventually tying the score up at 19 apiece. Miami did not look back, as Radaszewski and Utley each served an ace to help push past the Chippewas 25-21 in the second set.
- The RedHawks jumped out to a 7–2 advantage in the third set behind two early service aces from Utley. Numerous kills and a big solo block from Warrick extended Miami's lead to 17-10, but Central Michigan then found some momentum and shrunk the gap to 18-16. In response, Creech scored four of Miami's next seven points to secure the third set 25-22.
- The fourth set consisted of close play initially, as the score was tied at 4-4 when the Red and White used a 5-0 run to stretch its lead to 9-4. A trio of kills from Coyne kept Miami up 16-11 as the end of the set approached. The Chippewas attempted to close in at 23-20 before Coyne and Creech each put down a kill to seal a 25-20 fourth-set win.
- The RedHawks have now won four consecutive matches.
- Warrick now ranks seventh all-time in Miami program history in career blocks assists (329).
- The Red and White recorded 64 kills in comparison to 54 kills from the Chippewas.
- The RedHawks have now reached 15 wins in a season for the first time since 2019.
