Miami Hockey gets year two of the
Anthony Noreen era underway this weekend with a home series against Ferris State. The RedHawks went 3-28-3 last season (0-23-1 NCHC), while the Bulldogs were 13-20-3 overall and 12-13-1 in CCHA play. This is the fifth-straight year Miami has opened its season against Ferris State.
This week's games at Steve "Coach" Cady Arena are set for Friday, Oct. 3 at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 4 at 6:05 p.m;
tickets are available here. The contests will stream on NCHC.tv and will be broadcast (tape-delayed) on Rock Entertainment Sports Network at 1 a.m. the following morning. An audio stream will be available both nights on MiamiRedHawks.com. Greg Waddell (play-by-play) and Drew Davis (analyst) will have the call Friday, with Luke West Poley (analyst) joining Waddell on Saturday's broadcast.
Sophomores
Michael Quinn (2-10-12) and
Casper Nassen (6-4-10) are Miami's only double-digit point scorers from a year ago that return for 2025-26. Nassen was tied for second on the RedHawks' roster in goals last season, while Quinn tied for third in assists on the team. Of the 28 players on Miami's roster, 21 are first-year RedHawks (12 freshmen and nine transfers), including all three goalies.
