HOW IT HAPPENED
- 1:53 1st (Miami 1-0) | The RedHawks started the scoring early, as Morozov blasted a one-timer on the power play to give Miami a 1-0 lead less than two minutes into the game. Deputy teed up Morozov for the goal after Giampa relayed the puck from the left point.
- 5:50 1st (Miami 2-0) | Miami doubled its lead less than four minutes later on a wraparound goal from Ryan Seelinger. Michael Phelan initially sent the puck in behind the net for Seelinger and Deputy skated it out before setting up Seelinger's goal.
- 10:55 1st (Robert Morris 2-1) | Luca Primerano got the visitors on the board near the midway point of the opening stanza. After Patrick Johnson retrieved a long shot along the side boards, Braden Rourke slid a quick pass to Primerano along the goal line and he was able to finish to make it 2-1.
- 15:25 1st (Miami 3-1) | Morozov and Miami capitalized for the second time in the period on a power play. Delic got his own rebound and fed a pass from the right circle to the left one before Giampa found Morozov with a beautiful diagonal assist to finish off a tic-tac-toe sequence and stretch the margin to 3-1.
- 2:57 2nd (Miami 4-1) | Delic made it 4-1 less than three minutes into the second period. The sophomore winger came up with the puck after a turnover by the Colonials in their own zone, and a quick give-and-go with Giampa freed up Delic to beat RMU's Charlie Schenkel for the fourth Miami goal of the evening.
- 5:09 2nd (Miami 5-1) | Cal Huston got on the scoresheet just over two minutes later with a blast from near the blue line past a Morozov screen, chasing Schenkel for the night. Deputy and Seelinger had the assists for the Red and White.
- 13:31 2nd (Miami 6-1) | Miami's next goal was a highlight-reel play of the three-dimensional variety. Giampa looped the puck off the top of the goal, Matouš Kucharcík popped it into mid-air, and Delic batted it down through traffic past Lucas Massie for a 6-1 cushion.
- 1:38 3rd (Miami 7-1) | Ethan Hay added a goal early in the third period for the hosts, winning an offensive-zone faceoff and getting a return pass from Branko Vukas before maneuvering the puck into the net from close range for a 7-1 advantage.
