2006-07: All-MAC Academic Team ... during the outdoor season, registered team-best throws in the discus (143-10), hammer throw (181-1) and shot put (47-4 1/4) ... his hammer throw at the Stan Lyons Invitational was a career-best toss and ranks eighth in program history ... narrowly missed qualifying for the MAC finals in the hammer with a ninth-place distance (179-9) ... threw career-best distance of 49-4 1/4 in the shot put during the indoor season ... one of a league-high seven Miamians named to the all-MAC academic team.
2005-06: All-MAC Academic Team ...
competed in the shot put, hammer throw and discus ... turned in career-best throw in the shot put (44-9 1/2 ) at the Indy Relays ... added a personal-best toss in the hammer throw (169-6) at the Miami Invitational ... just missed setting a personal-best in the discus with a toss of 154-7 at the Billy Hayes Invitational ... top throws of the season in the hammer, discus and shot put were the furthest for a Miami field athlete during the season ... at the MAC Championships, narrowly missed scoring in the hammer throw and the discus as he placed ninth in both events.
2004-05: Won the discus at the All-Ohio Championships with a 143-8 throw ... at the MAC Championships, threw 156-7, finishing 10th ... also threw the shot put and competed in the long jump during the outdoor season ... competed at the first of Miami[apos]s three indoor meets, entering in the shot put, long jump and 60-meter hurdles ... also hurdled at Miami[apos]s first outdoor meet.
High School: Earned third place in the discus throw and fifth in the high jump during his prep career at Arlington High School ... earned four letters apiece in basketball, where he played center, as well as track ... personal best in discus of 166-2.
