2016-17: Swam in 9 meets ... primary events are the 100 back, 200 back and 200 medley relay ... finished in seventeenth place at the Miami Invite (12/1-3) in the 100 back with a time of 51.66 ... also finished seventeenth at the Miami Invite in the 200 back with a time of 1:58.18 ... finished in third place against Cincinnati (1/11) as a part of the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:35.64 ... earned eighth place in the 100 fly against Ball State (2/11) with a time of 53.30.
2015-2016: Claimed first in the 100-yard backstroke vs. Xavier (52.69) ... in the same event, finished fifth vs. Cincinnati (52.35), sixth vs. Buffalo (52.53) and third at the OSU Invite (51.59) ... turned in three third-place finishes in the 200-yard backstroke vs. Xavier (1:59.11), vs. OSU (1:55.89) and at the OSU Invite (1:50.72) ... finished fifth in the 100-yard butterfly vs. Buffalo (52.47) and sixth vs. Cincinnati (53.13) ... in the 200-yard medley relay, turned in three third-place finishes: vs. Cincinnati (1:35.80), vs. Buffalo (1:34.16) and vs. Eastern Michigan (1:33.64) ... swam a leg of the second-place finishing 400-yard freestyle relay team vs. OSU (3:18.45) ... was third in the 400-yard medley relay vs. Xavier (3:33.50).
2014-2015: Academic All-MAC ... competed in the 200-yard backstroke where he finished first against Ball State (1:55.92) and third at the Ohio State Winter Invitational (1:55.95) ... in the 100-yard backstroke, he turned in his fastest time of the season with a first at the OSU Winter Invitational (50.77) ... swam a leg of the 400-yard medley relay that finished fourth against Cleveland State (3:33.40).
2013-2014: Jelen began his career as a RedHawk with a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay and a fifth-place finish in the 200 butterfly against Xavier. Against Cleveland State, he took fourth in the 200 medley relay and fifth in the 100 backstroke. In the 200 medley relay, against Purdue, he finished third. He was sixth in the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly. He finished fifth in the 200 freestyle relay against the Boilermakers as well. At the Miami Invitational, Jelen finished 21st in the 200 butterfly, 18th in the 100 backstroke and 19th in the 100 butterfly. He was fifth in the 200 medley relay, seventh in the 100 backstroke, eighth in the 200 backstroke and fifth in the 100 butterfly against Cincinnati. Against Evansville, Jelen took seventh and fifth in the 200 freestyle and 200 butterfly, respectively. He was fifth in the 200 medley relay and fifth in the 100 butterfly against Buffalo. Jelen finished fourth in the 200 medley relay, against Eastern Michigan, and took fifth in the 100 butterfly. Against Ball State, Jelen finished third in the 400 medley relay and took first in the 200 IM.
