He was named MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week following the meet. Bader earned 31 points against Cleveland State with two first-place finishes in the 100 and 200 breaststroke in the contest. He also contributed to a 200 medley relay win and was named MAC Swimmer of the Week for his performance in the victory over the Vikings. He was named MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week for a second time following Miami's meet with Ohio State. Bader won both the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke events against Purdue. In the Miami Invitational, Bader contributed to two four-place finishes in the 200 medley and 400 medley relays. He took second in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Bader finished first in the 200 medley relay against Cincinnati and second in the same event against Buffalo. Bader also turned in two second-place finishes in the 100 and 200 breaststroke against both Buffalo and Eastern Michigan in back-to-back weeks. Bader was a first-place finisher in the 200 medley relay against Eastern Michigan. At the MAC Championships, Bader took 13th in the 200 IM, fourth in the 400 medley relay, fifth in the 200 medley relay, fifth in the 100 breaststroke and fourth in the 200 breaststroke. At the season's end, Bader was also honored as Academic All-MAC. 2012-2013: Bader started his Miami career with a first-place finish in the 100 and 200 breaststroke contests against Xavier. He helped his relay unit to a first-place time in the 200 medley relay, then took fourth in the relay at Purdue. Bader also finished second in the 100 and 200 breast events at Purdue. In the tie against Cleveland State, the freshman took third in the 100 breast and second in the 200 breast. He finished 12th in both the 200 free relay and the 100 breast at the Miami Invitational...placed 20th in the 200 breast race and 65th in the 50 free preliminary event. At Cincinnati, Bader took second in the 100 breast and won the 200 breast contest. He then won the 200 breast for a second consecutive time against the Buffalo Bulls. At Eastern Michigan, Bader finished second in both breaststroke events, then finished second in the 200 breast against Ball State. High School: Four year letter winner and captain of his swimming team for two years...helped the Talawanda Braves to four straight conference titles...holds school records in the 100 breaststroke (56.92), the 200 medley relay, and the 200 free relay...his 56.92 time at Districts led him to finish fifth in the 100 breaststroke at the state championships in 2012...finished 9th at the 2012 state championships in the 200 medley relay... named Conference Swimmer of the Year in 2011 and All-Ohio in 2012.
