
Four RedHawk Swimmers Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Accolades

NORFOLK, Va.--Four RedHawk swimmers have been recognized by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as Honorable Mention Scholar All-Americans, the organization announced on Wednesday morning (June 22). Evan Bader (Oxford, Ohio/Talawanda) and Jacob Prodoehl (Milwaukee, Wis./Arrowhead) earned the honor for the men, while Brittany Dudzinski (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) and Holly Schuster (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) captured the award for the women.
Bader, a breaststroke specialist who earned First-Team Academic All-America honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) earlier this month, wrapped up his senior campaign in the spring. He posted a 4.0 GPA for the spring semester. He is a double major in chemistry and chemical engineering and owns a cumulative grade-point average of 3.98. Bader will compete at the Olympic Trials in the 200m breaststroke June 29-30.
Prodoehl, a freestyle and backstroke specialist who earned First-Team All-MAC honors after breaking school records in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke at the MAC Championships, completed his senior year in the spring. He posted a 3.57 GPA in the spring. Prodoehl graduated with a degree in biology and a minor in neuroscience, finishing with a 3.87 cumulative grade-point average. He earned the MAC Medal of Excellence Award earlier this month.
Dudzinski, a backstroke and butterfly specialist, just completed her junior season and notched a 3.50 grade-point average for the spring semester. She is majoring in marketing and owns a 3.28 cumulative GPA.
Schuster, a breaststroke and individual medley specialist who earned Second-Team All-MAC honors, just completed her sophomore season and amassed a 3.58 GPA for the spring semester. She majors in kinesiology and owns a cumulative grade-point average of 3.37.
The RedHawk quartet was among 1,748 swimmers from 247 colleges and universities at the NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and NJCAA levels to earn the award. To qualify for Honorable Mention Scholar All-America honors, student-athletes boasted a GPA of 3.50 or better for the spring semester and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at a regional or zone qualifying meet. First-Team honorees earned a 3.50 GPA or better for the spring semester and participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA swimming and diving championships.
