2006-07: Cross Country -- MAC Runner of the Week (Sept. 12) ... one of three Miamians honored as the conference runner of the week ... competed in all seven of Miami[apos]s races, placing in the scoring five all seven times ... named the MAC Runner of the Week after winning the Miami Invitational ... posted four top-12 finishes on the season, including a fifth-place finish at the Flyer 5K Challenge, an eighth-place finish at the All-Ohio and an 11th-place finish at the Penn State Spiked Shoe Invitational ... placed at the top Miamian at the Miami Invitational, All-Ohio and Pre-NCAA Invitational ... finished fifth on the team and 36th overall at the MAC Championship ... turned in season-best 8K time at the Pre-NCAA Invitational (24:56). Track and Field -- NCAA MidEast Regional Qualifier ... All-MAC Academic Team ... made first career appearance at the regional meet in the steeplechase ... placed 17th in the steeplechase at the MidEast Regional (9:11.48) ... scored at the MAC Championships in two events, finishing third in the steeplechase (8:58.45) and seventh in the 5,000 meters (14:56.99) ... his third-place steeplechase finish was the highest finish for a Miamian at the MAC Championships ... his steeplechase time was a regional-qualifying and career-best performance and ranks fifth in program history ... turned in career-best 5,000-meter time (14:38.99) at the Southern Ohio Cup ... ran season-best time in the mile (4:10.46) at the Jesse Owens Classic ... was one of a league-high seven Miamians named to the all-MAC academic team ... indoors, competed in the 3,000 meters, turning in a season-best time of 8:26.51.
2005-06: Cross Country -- Sophomore transfer from Cumberland College ... ran in all six of Miami[apos]s races ... finished in the scoring five in all six races ... was the second Miami finisher at the Notre Dame Invitational (Sept. 30) when he turned in a career-best 8K time (25:33) ... notched three top-20 overall finishes, including a pair of top-10 finishes at the Dayton Flyer 5K Challenge (6th; Sept. 3) and Miami Invitational (7th; Sept. 11) ... clocked in with best 10K time of the season (33:20) at the Great Lakes Regional (Nov. 12) ... finished fourth on the team and 20th overall (25:51) at the MAC Championship (Oct. 29) ... consistent runner who ran all five 5K races in under 26 minutes. Track and Field -- Did not compete.
Prior to Miami: Transferred from Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Ky. ... ranked in the top 10 nationally all year ... was ranked as high as sixth in the nation ... finished 13th at the national meet ... was named freshman of the year ... recipient of the Golden Guts Award.
