RedHawks Fall to Wildcats, 1-0

OXFORD, Ohio – The RedHawks took on the University of Kentucky Wildcats for the second time this season, falling 1-0 on Tuesday afternoon. Miami falls to 24-9 overall, while the Wildcats improve to 22-15.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Getting on the board in the top of the first, the Wildcats scored one from third off a single to center field.
- Miami threatened in the bottom half of the inning, posting a pair of runners on base, but grounded out to end the inning.
- Erin Pinter doubled to begin the third inning, but was left stranded midway through the contest
- Two runners reached base in the fifth inning, but back-to-back putouts ended the Miami threat.
- Once again, the RedHawks placed a pair of runners on base in the sixth, but an infield pop-up ended the inning.
- Miami recorded a hit in the bottom of the seventh, but it wasn't enough for the RedHawks, who dropped the 1-0 contest
NOTES
- Mia Estrello went 2-for-4 at the plate.
- Léa Chevrier pitched a complete game, allowing one earned run, five hits and three walks.
