A single by Cruz, another error by Dayton, and a single by Harrison scored the final three RedHawk runs of the inning.
- Dayton put two runners on in the bottom of the ninth and scored one run on a single, but Miami caught another runner in a rundown to end the inning. This enacted the run rule to secure a 14-4 win for Miami.
