Krupinski Signs Free Agent Contract With Chicago Cubs

OXFORD, Ohio— Miami infielder Dominic Krupinski signed a free agent contract with the Chicago Cubs this weekend upon the conclusion of the MLB Draft.
Krupinski has spent the past two seasons with the Red and White. This past season, he started in each game he played, where he recorded a .292 batting average, 54 hits, 53 runs, 46 RBI, 46 BB, nine steals, a .514 slugging percentage and a .472 on-base percentage. Defensively, he totaled 103 assists, 41 putouts, 10 double plays and a .889 fielding percentage.
