Drobac Named NCHC Goaltender of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS--Â The National Collegiate Hockey Conference announced its Players of the Week presented by KJ Branding today, and Miami sophomore Matteo Drobac was named the National's Goaltender of the Week.
Drobac was dominant all weekend at the Friendship Four in Belfast, posting his second career shutout Friday and adding 29 saves Saturday (including four in the final 50 seconds while the Union net was empty) to help the RedHawks capture the Belpot Trophy. Miami's penalty kill was also perfect all weekend, going 5-for-5 across two nights. Drobac was named Miami's Player of the Game Friday and also won Player of the Tournament honors when the event wrapped up Saturday.
Drobac and the No. 19 RedHawks are back in action this weekend at No. 6/5 Denver. Puck drop on Friday, Dec. 5 is set for 9 p.m. ET at Magness Arena.
