TUESDAY'S GAME: The RedHawks hit the road for a pair of contests this week, beginning with a 6 p.m. game on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at Kent State. Miami seeks its second straight road win of the season, winning at Eastern Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 23 to capture its first road win of the season. The Golden Flashes are 5-1 at home this season with their lone loss coming to Toledo by two points on Jan. 5.
ABOUT KENT STATE: The Golden Flashes enter Tuesday's game with a 9-4 record and a 6-3 MAC mark. KSU has won its last two, including a 96-91 win against Bowling Green on Jan. 27 and an 83-67 win against Central Michigan on Jan. 30. Danny Pippen leads the MAC in scoring, averaging 20.9 ppg and 9.2 rpg. Pippen averaged 22.9 ppg and 10.6Â rpg in MAC play, which both lead the MAC. Michael Nuga follows at 17.8 ppg and 5.5 rpg, while Tervell Beck chips in 10.7 ppg and 4.7 rpg. On the season, Kent State leads the MAC in scoring offense (82.31). The Golden Flashes lead the MAC in all games (+8.31) and conference-only games (+7.0) in rebounding margin.
THE SERIES WITH THE GOLDEN FLASHES: Tuesday marks the 148th meeting between Miami and Kent State with the RedHawks owning a 92-55 lead in the all-time series. Last year, the teams split the series with each winning on its home court. KSU won the last meeting on Feb. 25, 2020, 74-61 in Kent, while the RedHawks posted their last win in the series on Jan. 14, 2020, 77-74 in Oxford. When playing in Kent, Miami holds a 37-33 edge against the Golden Flashes. Miami has lost in its last six trips to Kent State with its last win in the M.A.C. Center coming on March 4, 2014, 73-61.

COLEMAN-LANDS RANKS 11TH NATIONALLY IN ASSIST/TURNOVER RATIO: Redshirt junior guard
Isaiah Coleman-Lands has been stingy with turnovers and currently boasts a 3.70 assist/turnover ratio with 37 assists to 10 turnovers through 12 games. He leads the MAC and ranks 11th nationally in assist/turnover ratio.Â
REDHAWKS LEAD MAC IN FEWEST TURNOVERS: Averaging 10.3 turnovers per game, Miami leads the MAC in fewest turnovers and ranks 10th nationally. Miami has committed fewer turnovers than its opponent in nine of its 13 games and the same number in one game this season.Â
SCHEDULE UPDATES: The RedHawks' tip time at Kent State on Tuesday, Feb. 2 has been adjusted to 6 p.m. The Tuesday, Feb. 9 game against Eastern Michigan has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a to-be-determined date. Miami's home game against Akron has been moved to Friday, Feb. 12 and will be televised nationally on ESPNU at 7 p.m.

- Miami shot a season-best 58.7 percent from the floor for the game and was 64.5 percent from the field in the second half vs. BGSU on Feb. 21.
- The 96 points by Miami against BGSU were its most since a 119-52 win against Wilberforce on Dec. 30, 2019, and the most against a Division I opponent since a 100-94 double-overtime win at Central Michigan on Jan. 5, 2002.Â
- Miami's 42 first-half points at Eastern Michigan on Feb. 23 were its most in an opening half this season, while its 55 points in the second half against BGSU were its most in a half in 2020-21.

Dalonte Brown became the 37th member of Miami's 1,000 Point Club on Jan. 12, 2021. Brown enters Miami's next game with 1,085 career points and has moved up to 33rd on the list.Â

- On the season, Miami ranks second in the MAC in 3-point field goal percentage (.375) and scoring defense (70.88). The RedHawks ranks third in blocked shots (3.00) and assist/turnover ratio (1.21). Dae Dae Grant ranks fifth in 3-point field goal percentage (.433).
