Academic Coordinators

Academic Coordinators will develop and implement systematic application of learning interventions and study strategies in the areas of time management, learning style, critical reading, note taking, test taking, etc. for individual students as needed. They will also be responsible for monitoring and supervising academic progress of assigned student athletes through one to one meetings, coordination of support services and academic evaluations to professors. Coordinators will prepare reports and instruction at team meetings and track and document student-athletes' academic performance.

As an In-Game Host, you'll be front and center at Miami Athletics events, helping create an unforgettable experience for our fans. Interns will be in charge of writing press releases, updating MiamiRedHawks.com and at times compiling statistics, with some interns serving as media contact for select RedHawk teams. Development and Administrative Support

An internship with the Miami Athletic Fund provides the opportunity to help the athletic development office in all aspects of its operations, including gift processing, solicitations, and other attempts to secure new members, renewals and upgrades. Also includes assisting with the set-up, design, and operation of donor events and other external activities. Interns will also assist full-time staff members with special projects/duties assigned.
Sport and Facility Services

Our multi-semester manager program is designed to build athletic leadership along with equipment and game operational skills in students looking for experience organizing NCAA Division I competitions. Learn about event & facility logistics, guest services, hosting championships & tournaments, athletic administration and staff training. Interns will also have opportunities to be liaisons with visiting teams/officials and to work with team coaches to coordinate their home events for the season. Managers will spend about 10-15 hours per week at various athletic home games.
Strength and Conditioning

Miami University Strength and Conditioning offers a volunteer intern position. Interns will be responsible for learning day to day weight room maintenance, and be given the opportunity to assist in the design and implementation of various types of training for Miami's Varsity athletics teams. While this is an unpaid internship, candidates will gain valuable experience training athletes, earn class credit (if applicable), may receive team gear, and earn a potential recommendation for further positions in the field. Successful applicants must display a strong work ethic and must be highly motivated. A background in Exercise Science or a related field is preferred, but not required. Applicants should send a resume and cover letter.

Interns in this department will facilitate ticket sales, student check-in, Will Call (customer, player guest, recruits, coaches) at assigned sporting events. Office responsibilities include phone sales, customer care, preparing orders, and helping with season ticket renewals.
