Uptown Madness Set For Homecoming Weekend

OXFORD, Ohio – Miami Basketball will take over uptown Oxford next week as part of Homecoming weekend. The men's and women's teams will hold a brand-new Uptown Madness event on Friday, Sept. 26 at 10:30 p.m. The event will be held on a blocked-off North Main Street between Martin Luther King Jr. Park and Oxford Memorial Park in the center of town and is open to all fans.

The RedHawks will take part in skills competitions and mini-games on the outdoor court that night. This preview event for the highly-anticipated 2025-26 season will also include an opportunity for fans to meet the teams as part of the Homecoming weekend festivities.

The next day, fans are invited to get ready for football kickoff by spending some time at Millett Hall earlier in the day. Travis Steele's men's basketball team will hold an open practice at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, with an intrasquad scrimmage to follow at approximately 12:30.
