TUESDAY'S GAME: Miami takes flight for its first Mid-American Conference road game when the RedHawks travel to Ohio for a 7 p.m. game on Tuesday, Jan. 12.
THE SERIES WITH THE BOBCATS: Tuesday marks the 208th meeting between Miami and Ohio with the Bobcats holding a 113-94 lead in the most-played series in Miami men's basketball history. When playing in Athens, the Bobcats are 67-27 against the RedHawks. Ohio has won the last three meetings between the teams, including a 67-65 win on March 6 in Oxford and a 77-46 win in Athens on Feb. 8 last season. The Bobcats have won the last nine meetings between the teams in the Convocation Center with the RedHawks' last win in Athens coming in triple overtime on Feb. 9, 2011, 92-88. Miami's last win against Ohio was on Feb. 9, 2019 in Oxford, 79-59.
ABOUT OHIO: The Bobcats enter Tuesday's game with a 6-5 overall record and a 2-3 Mid-American Conference mark. Ohio rattled off a pair of wins to start the new year at Ball State (78-68) and against Northern Illinois (76-73) before dropping a 95-78 decision at Toledo on Friday. Five Bobcats are averaging double figures in scoring, led by Jason Preston's 18.9 ppg. Dwight Wilson averages 16.0 ppg and a team-leading 8.0 rpg, followed by Ben Vander Plas (12.5 ppg), Ben Roderick (11.6 ppg) and Lunden McDay (10.0 ppg). Ohio leads the MAC in field goal percentage (.483) and assists (17.55).

REDHAWKS LEAD MAC IN FEWEST TURNOVERS: Averaging 10.0 turnovers per game, Miami leads the MAC in fewest turnovers and ties for eighth nationally. Miami has committed fewer turnovers than its opponent in five games and the same number in one game this season. The RedHawks turned the ball over just four times against Mount St. Joseph on Dec. 11, their second-straight game with fewer than 10 turnovers. The most turnovers the RedHawks have committed so far this season is 14 at Wright State on Dec. 5.

LAIRY REMAINS PERFECT FROM FREE-THROW LINE: After sinking 10-of-10 free throws in the season opener against North Dakota, junior guard
Mekhi Lairy has continued his perfect free-throw shooting through six games (22-of-22). Nationally, Lairy has the second-most made free throws while posting a 1.000 free-throw percentage and leads the MAC. Lairy's season-opening performance against UND tied several others at Miami for the single-game free-throw percentage record (minimum of 10 attempts). The last time a Miami player was perfect from the charity stripe while hitting double figures in free throws was when Willie Moore went 12-for-12 from the line at Bowling Green on Jan. 25, 2014.
HOT HANDS: Despite a 20-day layoff between games, Miami's strong shooting from Dec. 19 continued in its win against Northern Illinois on Jan. 9. In its last two games, Miami is shooting 51.5 percent from the floor and 54.8 percent from three-point range, while knocking down an average of 11.5 triples per game over that stretch. Isaiah Coleman-Lands has been stingy with turnovers and currently boasts a 5.00 assist/turnover ratio with 20 assists to a mere four turnovers through seven games.

- Senior forward Dalonte Brown played in his 100th career game on Tuesday, Dec. 15 against Buffalo.
- Junior guard Mekhi Lairy has dished out 12 assists over Miami's last two games. He handed out seven assists at Bradley (Dec. 19), accounting for 64 percent of the RedHawks' assists. Lairy then doled out five assists against Northern Illinois (Jan. 9).
- Junior forward Elijah McNamara and redshirt sophomore guard Myja White came off the bench to provide key performances in Miami's 70-58 win against NIU on Jan. 9. McNamara led the RedHawks with 15 points, knocking down 6-of-10 shots from the field and three free throws. White tallied 12 points off 4-of-5 shooting from the field, all from three-point range. All 12 points came in the opening half where he connected on all four three-point attempts.
- Miami knocked down eight of its 10 three-pointers in the opening half against Northern Illinois on Jan. 9. The RedHawks were 8-of-12 (.667) from long range in the first 20 minutes against the Huskies.
- Redshirt junior guard Isaiah Coleman-Lands leads the MAC in conference games in steals, averaging 2.5 per game. He snagged four against Northern Illinois on Jan. 9.
- Miami ranks second in the MAC in scoring defense on the season, allowing opponents just 68.0 ppg.
