TOLEDO, Ohio - The Miami University men's basketball team remains on the road as it travels to Toledo Tuesday. Tip time is at 7 p.m. and it will air live on ESPN+. An audio broadcast will be available on the Miami Sports Network from Van Wagner.

CONTROLLING REBOUNDING AND TURNOVERS: As the RedHawks look to get back on track, one of the things they will focus on is winning the rebounding battle and forcing opponent turnovers. Miami is 5-2 when outrebounding its opponent this season, but only 4-12 when it is outrebounded. The RedHawks do well at limiting their own turnovers, ranking 60th in the country with only 12.0 per game, but rank 215th in the nation in forcing turnovers, causing 13.0 per contest. They are 8-6 this when committing the same or fewer turnovers than their opponent, but 1-8 when they have committed more turnovers.

ONE MIAMI WEEKEND COMING: To help show their gratitude and deep appreciation for the commitment, dedication and exceptional service of Miami University's faculty and staff, and to bring together all campuses to celebrate being "One Miami," President Greg and Dr. Renate Crawford invite the Miami community to the fourth annual One Miami Weekend presented by Mercy Health February 14-15, 2020. Faculty and staff will receive free admission and free parking to the Miami basketball doubleheader on February 15 and also free admission to one of the February 14-15 Miami hockey games. The community will receive free admission to both basketball games.

ABOUT TOLEDO: The Rockets are 11-13 overall and 3-8 in the MAC. They have dropped their past five games in a row, but four of those five were decided by six points or less. That includes a heartbreaking, 85-83, loss to Bowling Green in their last game on Saturday. Toledo has four players averaging in double figures, led by junior guard Marreon Jackson. He is second in the MAC averaging 19.5 points per game. Another key player is senior forward Willie Jackson (no relation). He averages a double-double of 12.0 points and a MAC leading 11.8 rebounds per contest.

THE SERIES WITH TOLEDO: Miami leads the all-time series with Toledo, 68-61. Recent history has been in the Rockets favor however, as they have won the past 12 meetings. Most of the games have been close, including a 66-63 UT win in the teams' last meeting on Jan. 29, 2019 in Oxford. The RedHawks overcame an 11-point second half deficit to take a two point lead with just over a minute to go, but Toledo scored the final five points to secure the victory. Nike Sibande led Miami with 18 points, while Bam Bowman finished with 17.

UP NEXT: The RedHawks return home next Saturday, Feb. 15 for their annual One Miami Weekend contest with the women's basketball and hockey teams. The men's basketball team will host Northern Illinois at 3:30 p.m. in a game that will celebrate the faculty and staff of the University, as well as members of the greater Oxford community. The game will air live on ESPN+. An audio broadcast will be available on the Miami Sports Network from Van Wagner.
