A strong road effort by the Miami University men's basketball team came up just short as the RedHawks (3-3) were edged by Bradley University (6-2) on Saturday night, 69-68. The Braves staged a late flurry to push ahead of the RedHawks with 18 seconds to go.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Miami used an 8-0 run late in the second half during a back-and-forth battle to push ahead 68-60 by the 4:00 mark.
- Sophomore guard Dae Dae Grant had five points and senior guard Milos Jovic added a three-point play to comprise the 8-0 spurt for the RedHawks. Bradley came back with a 9-0 run over the final 3:18 of the game to take a 69-68 lead for good with 18 seconds to go.
- Miami shot 50.0 percent from the floor (13-of-26) and 61.5 percent from 3-point range (8-of-13) in the first half.
- The RedHawks used a 14-3 flurry, with eight points coming from junior guard Mekhi Lairy, to take a 27-18 lead by the 6:57 mark of the first half. Miami extended its lead to 10 points, 33-23, at the 4:42 mark off a sophomore guard Dae Dae Grant triple.
- Bradley came back to shrink their deficit to two at the half, 37-35.

- Senior forward Dalonte Brown notched his second double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Brown amassed 15 points and seven rebounds in the first half.
- Junior guard Mekhi Lairy handed out seven assists, one off his career-high.
- Junior forward Josh Brewer made his third career start and first this season.
