OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami University men's basketball team is in the midst of a six-game stretch where five of those games are inside Millett Hall. It continues on Tuesday as the RedHawks host Kent State. Tip time is at 7 p.m. and it will air live on ESPN+. An audio broadcast will be available on the Miami Sports Network from Van Wagner.

BROWN FINISHES OFF STRONG WEEK: Junior forward Dalonte Brown completed a strong week with 18 points and seven rebounds against Buffalo last Friday. For the week he averaged 19 points and nine rebounds. This season he is averaging career-highs in points per game (13.4), rebounds (6.8), shooting percentage (.459), three-point field goal percentage (.361) and free throw percentage (.828).

COLEMAN-LANDS HEATING UP OFF BENCH: Redshirt sophomore guard Isaiah Coleman-Lands has been productive the last couple games off the bench. After finishing with nine points against Bowling Green last Tuesday, he had a season-high 13 against Buffalo on Friday. Coleman-Lands finished 5-for-9 from the field and hit three 3-pointers. For the season, he is tied for fifth on the RedHawks averaging 7.3 points per game.

ABOUT KENT STATE: The Golden Flashes have had a breakout season in which they are 13-3 overall and a perfect 3-0 in the MAC. So far in league play they opened up with a win over Bowling Green on the road (79-61), a home victory over Toledo (84-77) and a home win over Central Michigan (79-73) in their last game on Saturday. Kent State is a balanced offensive team that has five averaging in double figures and scores 80.3 points per game. It is led by senior guard Antonio Williams at 14.8 points per game. Junior forward Danny Pippen is right behind him at 13.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest.

THE SERIES WITH THE GOLDEN FLASHES: Miami leads the all-time series with Kent State, 91-54, but the Golden Flashes have won the past three meetings, including both games last season. On Feb. 5, 2019 in Kent, the RedHawks overcame a nine-point halftime deficit to take a three-point lead late, but Kent State closed the game on a 6-0 run to escape with a 70-67 victory. Nike Sibande led Miami with 19 points and eight rebounds. On March 5, 2019 in Oxford, the Golden Flashes took a 38-21 lead into halftime. The RedHawks nearly erased the entire deficit, getting as close as four, but KSU came away with a 75-66 win. Sibande had a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Bam Bowman finished with 18 points.

UP AHEAD: The one road game in Miami's long home stretch is next for the 'Hawks as they make the short trip to Muncie, Indiana to take on Ball State on Saturday. Tip time is at 1 p.m. and it will air live on ESPN+. An audio broadcast will be available on the Miami Sports Network from Van Wagner.
