OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami University men's basketball has its final home game of the season Tuesday as it welcomes Kent State to Millett Hall. Tip time is 7 p.m. and it will air live on ESPN+. An audio broadcast of the game will be available on the Miami Sports Network from Learfield IMG College Tunein App.

TOURNAMENT POSITIONING: It is going to be a very tight finish in the battle for positioning for next week's Mid-American Conference Tournament. The RedHawks are currently tied for seventh at 7-9 with Akron and hold the tiebreaker over the Zips due to their sweeping of the season series against Bowling Green. Central Michigan and Kent State are tied for fourth at 9-7. Eastern Michigan is sixth at 8-8. Northern Illinois and Ball State are tied for ninth at 6-10. Ohio is 11th at 5-11. Depending on results Miami could finish as high as the fifth seed and as low as the 11th seed. If the RedHawks secure a top-8 seed, they will host a MAC First Round Tournament game on Monday at 7 p.m.

SENIOR NIGHT POSTGAME: Postgame, fans are encouraged to stick around as there will be a ceremony honoring the RedHawks' three seniors, Aleks Abrams, Darrian Ringo and Abdoulaye Harouna.

ABOUT KENT STATE: The Golden Flashes are 20-9 overall and 9-7 in the MAC. They have dropped three of their past four games, including a 77-72 decision to Bowling Green in their last action on Friday. Kent State has four players averaging in double figures led by senior guard Jaylin Walker. He averages a MAC-leading 21.6 points per game. Another key player is senior guard Jalen Avery. He averages 11.0 points per contest.

THE SERIES WITH GOLDEN FLASHES: The RedHawks hold a 91-53 lead in the all-time series with the Golden Flashes. Kent State has won the past two meetings, including a tight, 70-67, victory in Kent earlier this season on Feb. 5. Miami overcame a nine-point halftime deficit to take a three point lead late, but the Golden Flashes closed on a 6-0 run to steal the win. Sophomore guard Nike Sibande led the 'Hawks with 19 points and eight rebounds in that contest.

UP AHEAD: Miami concludes the regular season on Friday with the second Battle of the Bricks game against Ohio. Tip time is 7 p.m. from Athens and it will air live on either ESPN+. An audio broadcast of the game will be available on the Miami Sports Network from Learfield IMG College Tunein App.
