BOWMAN'S CAREER GAME: Junior Bam Bowman scored a Miami career high of 23 points in the RedHawks' win over Ohio last Saturday. He was 7-for-10 from the field, including draining two 3-pointers. Bowman made it a double-double with 12 rebounds, which was only one off his career high. He also had one assist, two steals and drew six fouls in 31 minutes of action. Bowman is now averaging double figures at 10.2 points per game. In MAC play, he is Miami's second-leading scorer at 11.1 point per game, and its leading rebounder at 6.5 boards per contest.

RINGO CAREER RECORD UPDATE: Senior guard Darrian Ringo continues to climb the Miami career record book. With five assists against the Bobcats last Saturday, he now has 360 for his career.  That ranks eighth all-time in RedHawk history. He had four steals against Ohio to give him 147 for his career. He now ranks ninth all-time in that category.

MIAMI MOVING UP STANDINGS: Despite not playing on this week, Tuesday's MAC results moved the RedHawks up into a tie for sixth place in the MAC standings. If the MAC Tournament began today, Miami would be the seventh seed.

ABOUT WESTERN MICHIGAN: The Broncos are 7-18 overall and 1-11 in the MAC. It has been a very busy week for Western Michigan as its contest against Miami will be its third in the past five games. On Tuesday, it ended a 10-game losing streak and got is first conference win with a 76-74 victory over Northern Illinois. On Thursday WMU fell to Kent State, 82-63, in a makeup of a game that was postponed due to weather a couple weeks ago. The Broncos have three averaging in double figures led by sophomore guard Michael Flowers. He averages a team-leading 16.3 points per game. Right behind him is 7-0 senior center Seth Dugan. He averages 16.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per contest.

THE SERIES WITH BRONCOS: The RedHawks hold a 82-48 lead in the all-time series with the Broncos. However, Western Michigan has won four straight against Miami, including two very close meetings last season. On Jan. 6, 2018 in Oxford, the RedHawks jumped to a six-point halftime lead, but could not overcome a pair of second half scoring droughts as the Broncos took a 67-62 victory. Darrian Ringo recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 assists, while Nike Sibande finished with 13 points. On Feb. 6, 2018 in Kalamazoo, Miami held a slim lead throughout the majority of the contest, but Western Michigan closed the game on a 14-3 run to steal a 68-64 win. Sibande led the way with 13 points for the 'Hawks.

UP AHEAD: Miami returns home to host Ball State on Tuesday. Tip time is 7 p.m. and it will air live on ESPN+. An audio broadcast of the game will be available on the RedHawk IMG Sports Network Tunein App.
