OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami University men's basketball team remains on the road Tuesday at it heads to the northern part of the state to take on Toledo. Tip time is 7 p.m. and it will air live on ESPN+. An audio broadcast will be available on the RedHawk IMG Sports Network Tunein App.

BROWN GOES HOME: This is the first time that sophomore forward Dalonte Brown will play a game in Toledo during his college career. He was a 1,000 point scorer during his high school career at Toledo Bowsher and was named the Toledo Player of the Year after his senior season in 2016-17 when he averaged 22.1 points per game. So far this season he is Miami's second leading scorer at 14.4 points per game and the RedHawks' leading rebounder at 5.4 caroms per contest.

AYAH AND JOVIC PROVIDE SPARKS: Redshirt sophomore forward Precious Ayah redshirt sophomore guard Milos Jovic each provided a spark off the bench in Miami's last game at 19th-ranked Buffalo on Saturday. Ayah was a physical presence down low as he scored five points and brought in five rebounds, along with recording a block and a steal in 17 minutes of action. Jovic scored a career-high 10 points, also bringing in two rebounds and a steal in 21 minutes of action.

ABOUT TOLEDO: The Rockets are 13-3 overall and 1-2 in the MAC. After finishing 12-1 in non-conference play, they dropped their first two MAC games to begin the conference season. They rebounded with an 85-77 victory at Western Michigan in their last game on Saturday. Toledo is a strong offensive team that averages 81.6 points per game. Five different players average in double figures led by senior guard Jaelan Sanford. He averages 16.7 points per game. Another key player is junior forward Willie Jackson. He averages a double-double of 10.2 points and 10.6 rebounds per contest.

THE SERIES WITH ROCKETS: The RedHawks hold a 68-59 lead in the all-time series. However, the Rockets have won the past 10 meetings between the two schools. That includes a couple of close victories last season. On Feb. 9, 2018 in front of a national TV audience in Oxford, Miami battled back from an 11-point halftime deficit to take a 41-40 lead midway through the second half, but the Rockets were able to answer and maintain an advantage down the stretch to take a 73-67 win. Darrian Ringo led Miami with 16 points. They met again in the MAC Quarterfinals on March 8, 2018 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. The RedHawks again battled back from a 12-point second half deficit and just missed a buzzer-beating triple as Toledo escaped with a 71-69 victory. Nike Sibande had a team-high 20 points for Miami.

UP AHEAD: Miami returns home Saturday to host Akron. Tip time is 3:30 p.m. and it will air on either ESPN+ or ESPN3. It is part of a tripleheader in Oxford that will also see the women's basketball team face Ball State at 1 p.m. and the hockey team take on Minneosta Duluth at 7:05 p.m. inside Steve Cady Arena.
