Football
Last Week: Miami made it two wins in a row with a 40-26 victory at Bowling Green. Miami posted season high's in rushing numbers and forced four BGSU turnovers in the win (RECAP) This Week: The RedHawks travel to Eastern Michigan for a 3:30 p.m. kick time on Saturday, October 29.
Hockey
Last Week: The RedHawks (2-1-2) extended their unbeaten streak to four games thanks to a series win over Maine at home over the weekend. On Friday night, Anthony Louis netted his first two goals of the season as Miami rallied from three separate deficits to force a 3-3 tie in a series opener that ultimately went to a shootout despite a 42-21 shot advantage for MU (RECAP). Louis opened the scoring the next evening as the RedHawks broke out with five goals, getting multi-point efforts from Louis (1g, 1a), Kiefer Sherwood (1g, 2a), Carson Meyer (3a) and Louie Belpedio (2g) with Ryan Larkin posting a 33-save shutout in a 5-0 victory (RECAP). This Week: The RedHawks wrap up their five-game home stand when they take on in-state rival Bowling Green on Friday (7:35 p.m.) and Saturday (7:05 p.m.).
Volleyball
Last Week: The RedHawks (18-4 overall, 10-0 MAC) now have the second-longest win streak in school history at 17 matches after a pair of 3-0 victories last weekend. Returning home for the first time in three weeks, Miami showed no letup in a 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-17) win over Toledo on Friday. (RECAP) The RedHawks continued to make history with their 17th victory in a row, a 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 26-24) win over Ball State Saturday evening. (RECAP) This Week: A huge week awaits Miami with a pair of home matches. On Thursday, the 'Hawks host Bowling Green for a 7 p.m. match on ESPN3. Miami the welcomes MAC co-leader Northern Illinois to town Saturday for a 5 p.m. contest.
Swimming and Diving
Last Week: Miami University's men's and women's swimming and diving teams conquered the Xavier Musketeers on Saturday afternoon in the Corwin Nixon Aquatic Center. The RedHawks women won handily 180-82 and the men by a score of 155-107. (RECAP). This week: The RedHawk women will be back in the pool on Saturday, Oct. 29, as they take on Bowling Green and Marshall in a tri-meet at 1 p.m. at home. The men will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 12, when the men and women head to Ohio State.
Field Hockey
Last Week: Miami (10-7, 4-1 MAC) secured its spot in the upcoming MAC Tournament with a pair of victories this week. The RedHawks got back on the winning track as they cruised to a 6-1 victory over Appalachian State on Friday. (RECAP) Miami overcame a slow start to dominate the final 60 minutes of play and take a 1-0 win over Ball State on Sunday. (RECAP) This Week: Miami completes the regular season when it hosts rival Ohio for Senior Day on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
Soccer
Last Week: Miami (8-7-2, 5-3-2 MAC) struggled to get on track offensively in a pair of road setbacks. The RedHawks got outshot 20-6 in a battle for the top of the MAC East at Kent State, with the Golden Flashes handing the team a 3-0 defeat (RECAP). Things did not improve in a Battle of the Bricks rivalry showdown on Sunday, as Ohio netted a pair of second half goals to drop Miami by a 2-0 count (RECAP). The results move Miami to fourth in the MAC standings, one point ahead of Western Michigan for the final host seed for next week's MAC Tournament quarterfinals. This Week: Miami closes out the regular season at MAC leader Ball State on Thursday (4 p.m.) and will open the MAC Tournament in the quarterfinal round on Sunday. A Miami win or Western Michigan loss or tie will ensure that quarterfinal match is played in Oxford at 1 p.m.
Tennis
Last Week: A split group continued tournament play with the ITA Regionals and IU Regionals over the weekend. Day one at the ITA Regionals saw Andreea Badileanu and Anzhelika Shapovalova advance in the main draws of their flights while the doubles team of Hannah Shteyn and Nelli Ponomareva drop their match (RECAP). On Friday, Shapovalova and Ponomareva both advanced in their flights with singles victories while a trio of RedHawks opened up play in Indiana (RECAP). Shapovalova continued her strong tournament by clinching a berth in the ITA quarterfinals on Saturday, topping competitors from Austin Peay and UT Martin to headline the day's performances (RECAP). The sophomore ultimately dropped that quarterfinal match to Vanderbilt's Emma Kurtz while the Indiana contingent finished their weekend as well (RECAP). This Week: The RedHawks are off until Nov. 4 when they head to a tournament in Louisville, Ky.
Golf
Last Week: Miami finished tied for fifth at the Dayton Flyer Invitational. At four-over par, junior Patrick Flavin was the RedHawks top finisher in a tie for fifth. (Monday Recap) (Tuesday Recap) This Week: The fall season in complete for Miami. The season resumes in February.
