Kuwatch Selected by Panthers in 7th Round of NFL Draft
Jackson Kuwatch, a member of the Miami University football team, was select in the seventh round (pick 227) of the 2026 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers on Saturday afternoon. Kuwatch is the first RedHawk drafted since Dominique Robinson was selected in the fifth round by the Chicago Bears in 2022.

Miami Hockey Announces Conference Schedule
The National Collegiate Hockey Conference released its 2026-27 schedule for conference games last week. Miami Hockey will play 12 home and 12 away contests in the National, beginning with a home series against new NCHC member St. Thomas on Oct. 30-31 in Oxford.Â

Miami Baseball hosts Xavier Tuesday at 3 p.m. before heading to Western Michigan for a three-game Friday/Saturday/Sunday series. The RedHawks claimed an impressive 12-10 win against Michigan in front of a record crowd last Tuesday before sweeping a three-game series with Central Michigan over the weekend.
Miami Softball clinched a berth in the upcoming MAC Tournament after going 2-1 at Central Michigan over the weekend. Miami wraps up the regular season traveling to Dayton for a Tuesday game before hosting Bowling Green in a Friday/Saturday Senior Weekend series. Friday's game is slated for 3 p.m. with Saturday's doubleheader scheduled for 1 p.m. Miami will honor its seniors following Saturday's second game. Â
Miami Tennis notched a gritty 4-3 win against No. 1 seed Massachusetts in the MAC Tournament semifinals but was edged in the championship match by Toledo, 4-2. Allie Faulkner earned First-Team All-MAC honors, while Nina Chavez and Maria Luisa Oliveira were named to the MAC All-Tournament Team.
Miami Track & Field competed at the University of Louisville Clark Wood Track and Field Invitational and the Ashland Alumni Open this weekend. Avery Emerson and Camryn Dunn posted top-three program times in the 800 and 100, respectively. Miami heads to the Jesse Owens Invite Friday and Saturday.
Miami Golf heads to the MAC Championships in Zionsville, Ind., May 3-5. The RedHawks tied for second at the Muirfield Shootout, while Liam Nelson tied for first at the event.
Miami Hockey's Blake Mesenburg was awarded the Miami President's Distinguished Service Award.
Miami Men's Basketball announced Rich Rolf will join the program and compete for the RedHawks in the 2026-27 season after playing three seasons at Charlotte and last season at Youngstown State.
