OXFORD, Ohio - With Miami University's hockey season set to get underway in just a few weeks, the Miami Athletic Department has announced that single-game hockey tickets will be available for purchase starting on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 8 a.m. The RedHawks host 19 home games in 2011-12, including one exhibition contest.
Last year, some fans experienced long waits on the phone to order tickets. In adding to the ease of purchase, this year single-game tickets can be purchased online only by clicking here, which will help make the process more fan friendly. Due to a limited number of single-game tickets, fans can buy tickets for up to three games during the season and may only reserve four tickets per game to allow more fans to enjoy the Miami Hockey experience. Standing room only tickets will also be sold through the Athletic Ticket Office Web site and can be purchased for an unlimited number of games during the year.
Fans that purchase reserved tickets to more than three regular-season games though the Athletic Ticket Office will have their orders for the number of games beyond the allotted three deleted without notice. Due to a lack of ticket supply, it is possible that standing room tickets may only be available for certain home dates.
Reserved ticket prices for most regular-season games are $20 for adults and $15 for youth (18 and under) while standing room only tickets during the regular season are $15 each. However, reserved tickets for games against Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State are $22 each and $17 for standing room only tickets. Tickets for Miami's exhibition game against Windsor on Oct. 2 are only $15 for adults and $10 for youth.
For questions or instructions about purchasing tickets online, please contact the Miami Athletic Ticket Office at 513-529-HAWK or 1-866-MUHAWKS. Fans who call in or walk up to the Miami Athletic Ticket Office to purchase tickets will be helped with the online purchasing process but will not receive priority over those ordering directly online.
The RedHawks return 16 letterwinners from their 2010-11 squad that captured the program's first CCHA Tournament title and made their sixth straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Miami hosts non-conference series' against Bemidji State and Alabama-Huntsville while also welcoming CCHA rivals Lake Superior State, Michigan, Bowling Green, Ohio State, Western Michigan, Northern Michigan and Notre Dame to Steve Cady Arena.
The RedHawks open the season Sunday, Oct. 2 with their exhibition contest against Windsor at 3 p.m. Miami's complete schedule is available here. Check with MURedHawks.com for any possible time changes throughout the season.
