Hockey Face-Off Event Set for Oct. 5

OXFORD, Ohio - With hockey season just around the corner, excitement for the upcoming 2011-12 season is building and the Blue Line Club and Red & White Club are co-sponsoring a Hockey Face-Off Event on Wednesday, Oct. 5 for fans to interact with coaches and players, get inside access to the program and learn about the upcoming season.
The event will take place in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Shriver Center. Doors will open at 6 p.m. while the program begins at 6:30 p.m. The cost to attend the event is $21 per adult while children 12 and under are only $15. Dinner is included with the price of admission and attire for the evening is business casual.

In addition to dinner, attendees will get to meet and mingle with players, who will be sitting with fans at each table. Players will also be available to sign autographs. Head coach Enrico Blasi will talk about the upcoming season and the future of Miami Hockey in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference. A special highlight video will be shown, as well.
The players will also be introduced to all in attendance and will receive their CCHA Tournament championship rings as part of the Face-Off Event. Prizes will be raffled off throughout the evening, with items such as autographed apparel and special seating for certain hockey games up for grabs.
Miami will hold its first official practice on Saturday, Oct. 1 and hosts Windsor in an exhibition game on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 3 p.m. at Steve Cady Arena.
