- Miami scored 45 points in the second half to defeat Chicago State 74-68. Miami's 45 points are the most points the RedHawks have scored in a half this season and the third consecutive game Miami has scored at least 40 points in a half.
- A three-pointer by sophomore guard Alex Moosmann with 2:16 to play gave Miami a 63-62 lead, its first lead since the 17:26 mark of the first half when the RedHawks led 6-5.
- The RedHawks dished out 22 assists setting a season high for assists in a game. Miami's previous high for assists in a game was 18 against Mississippi State on Nov. 25, 2007. Miami's last game with 20 assists was against Ohio on Jan. 21, 2007.
- Senior forward Tim Pollitz finished the game with a career-high 26 points, his fourth 20-point performance of the season and the 17th of his career.
- Tim Pollitz set a career high with nine assists, which surpassed his previous career-high of seven assists against Indiana State on Dec. 4, 2007.
- Sophomore center Adam Fletcher surpassed his previous career high of two points scoring eight points on 4-of-4 shooting from the floor.
- Freshman forward Nick Winbush scored five points and grabbed two rebounds in the first half in eight minutes of action. Prior to the game, Winbush had played just one minute this season (at Wright State on Dec. 15) after sitting out the first several games due to injury.
- Chicago State's David Holston scored 27 points on 11-of-22 shooting with four three pointers. He also had a team-high eight assists.
- Chicago State's John Cantrell scored 14 first-half points on 6-of-9 shooting.
- Chicago State shot 57.7 percent (15-of-26) from the field in the first half, including 55.6 percent (5-of-9) from behind-the-arc. Miami shot 44.8 percent (13-of-29) and 21.4 percent (3-of-14) from 3-point range.
- Chicago State hit 7-of-8 shots from the 18:42 mark to the 13:26 mark of the first half as the Cougars took a 17-10 lead.
