2013-14: Indoor: Ran in seven meets ... ran a leg in the sixth-place distance medley (11:36.96) relay at the MAC Indoor Championships ... won the 800m (2:17.51) at the Akron Invitational ... cracked a career-best 2:15.48 in the 800m at the GVSU Big Meet. Outdoor: Raced in seven meets ... finished runner-up in the 1500m (4:46.58) at the Billy Hayes Invitational ... ran a season-best 4:37.04 in the 1500m at the Jesse Owens Classic ... placed 14th in the 1500m (4:43.90) at the MAC Outdoor Championships.
2013 Cross Country: Did not compete.
High School: Earned four letters in both cross country and track at Hilliard Davidson High School under coaches Nathan King and Matt Beatty ... was a team captain for two years for both cross country and track & field ... posted personal bests of 18:21 for cross country (5K), 4:58 for the 1600m, 2:10 for the 800m and 57.4 for the 400m ... holds the school record in the 800m, 400m and 4x400m relay ... named all-conference her final three years in cross country and all four years in track ... collected all-district honors each of her four years in both sports ... two-time state qualifier in cross country, placing 15th as a senior to earn All-Ohio accolades ... qualified for the state meet in track all four years, winning the 800m state title as a senior ... as a junior took fourth in the 1600m and was fifth in the 4x800m relay as a senior at the Ohio State Championships as well ... a four-time Academic All-Ohio honoree ... academically, finished ninth in her class of 417.
Personal: Born on Dec. 8, 1994 in Columbus, Ohio ... daughter of Lynn and Dan Hoover ... older sister, Jess, also currently runs on Miami's cross country/track & field teams ... participated in Red Cross blood drive ... AP Scholar ... majoring in nutrition.
