2017-18: Outdoor – Competed in three meets … cleared 6-0 and took sixth in the high jump at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational (3/30-31). Indoor – Jumped in three meets … finished runner-up in the high jump (6-2) at the Anderson University Invite (2/3).
2016-17: Outdoor – Jumped in five meets … cleared a season-best 6-4 3/4 to finish runner-up in the high jump at the RedHawk Invitational (4/29) … finished ninth in the high jump (6-2 3/4) at the MAC Outdoor Championships (5/11-13). Indoor – Competed in four meets … cleared a personal-best 6-6 3/4 to finish eighth in the high jump at the Indiana Relays (1/27-28).
2015-16: Outdoor – Jumped in seven meets … placed 10th in the high jump (6-5) at the MAC Outdoor Championships (5/12-14) … cleared a season-best 6-6 3/4 to take fifth in the high jump at the Ball State Challenge (4/15-16). Indoor – Competed in two meets … took third in the high jump (6-1 1/2) at the Cedarville Invite (2/5).
High School: Lettered twice in basketball and once in track & field … competed in the high jump at the Indiana State Track & Field Championships as a senior … earned all-state and all-conference honors during his senior campaign.
Personal: Born Jan. 11, 1997 … son of Elizabeth Fought and Tracy Downey … majoring in sport leadership and management … father, Tracy, competed in track & field for Anderson University.
