2007-08: Named to Miami[apos]s 'Straight-A Team' for his 4.0 grade point average in the spring semester ... swam career-best times in 100 breaststroke (58.83), 200 breaststroke (2:07.71) and 200 IM (1:58.43) at the Ohio Senior Short Course Championships ... also set a career mark in the 200 butterfly (2:00.64) against Kenyon.
2006-07: Versatile swimmer who competed in the breaststroke, butterfly and individual medley events ... turned in career-best performances in the 100 breaststroke (59.47) and 200 breaststroke (2:09.28) at the MAC Championships ... Mello[apos]s time in the 200 breaststroke ranked third on the team during the 2006-07 season ... also swam in the sprint and distance freestyle events, competing in the 50 freestyle at the Cincinnati dual meet and 500 freestyle at the Miami Invitational.
2005-06: Competed in six meets, swimming the butterfly, individual medley and breaststroke events ... swam three career-best times at the MAC Championships in the 100 breast (1:00.52), 200 breast (2:09.47) and 400 IM (4:14.60) ... swam in three dual meets, with a top finish of fourth in the 200 IM against Ohio.
