Made five appearances as a true freshman, all in relief... did not record a decision... posted an 8.10 ERA over 3.1 innings (three earned runs)... gave up six hits and four runs overall... two of the hits allowed were doubles... walked four while fanning one... made his collegiate debut in an 8-1 win over Marist on Feb. 27... did not allow a hit or run, but walked one and hit a pair... struck out one... threw a scoreless inning against Xavier on May 17.

A four-year letterwinner in baseball at Scioto High School... earned all-conference honors... also played football for three seasons.
