RedHawks Dominate in 8-0 Run-Rule Win Over CMU

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – On Sunday afternoon, the Miami University softball team (35-15, 16-8 MAC) took down Central Michigan University (23-20, 14-9 MAC) in an 8-0 shutout. Presley Hosick pitched the complete game shutout, allowing only one hit and two walks while striking out four.

- Miami kicked off scoring first in the opening inning with a two RBI home run from Danitza Hernandez.
- The RedHawks added to their lead in the second with a home run from Bailey Manos with two on base, making it a 5-0 game.
- In the third, the Red and White furthered their lead to 6-0 with an RBI double from Evey Dieudonne.
- Hernandez followed with a two RBI double of her own in the fourth inning, giving the RedHawks an 8-0 lead, ending the game after the fifth inning.
NOTES
- Bailey Manos went 3-for-4 at the plate with a home run and three RBI.
- Danitza Hernandez went 3-for-3 at the plate with one home run and four RBI.
