RedHawks Dominate at Home, Hallie Sets School Record For Second Week in a Row

OXFORD, Ohio- The RedHawks returned home for the RedHawk Invitational today. Mia Boule vaulted the second-best mark in Miami's program history at 4.12m. In the women's 100m, Lauren Jessup-Aiken ran the 10th-best time for a RedHawk in program history of 11.94 seconds. Kate Hallie threw the discus 51.89m, breaking the school record she set last week. Hallie also threw the ninth-best shot put in program history with a mark of 14.26m. Allie Melchiorre threw the tenth-best javelin throw by a RedHawk with 40.04m.

- Kirk Knecht won the long jump with a mark of 6.46m.
- Ben Riegel (59.10m), Gabe Asbury (56.53m) and Owen Billeter (54.82) took second, third and fourth in hammer, respectively. They were followed by teammates Blake Presley (53.61m), Reilly Worthington (51.82m) and Richard Obioha (47.03m) in sixth, seventh and eighth.
- In women's hammer, Hallie (50.78m), Sharron Kagan (48.25m), Kristen Berwanger (43.43m), Sophia Ili (42.34m), Sara Cupp (38.35m), Ava Luczak (37.79m) and Caroline Kagy (34.66m) took second through eighth place, respectively.
- Nate Hollingsworth won men's high jump with a mark of 1.95m.
- Ella Garvin won the women's high jump with a mark of 1.70m.
- Boule vaulted the second-best pole vault in Miami history with a mark of 4.12m. Emily Eterovich and Addison Crichley took fourth and fifth, both vaulting 3.67m.
- Eleanor Truckel won long jump with a jump of 6.64m and Maya Reed placed third with a jump of 5.16m.
- Hallie won discus with a school-record throw of 51.89m and Kagy and Berwanger took third and fourth with marks of 43.24m and 36.12m, respectively.
- Obioha took third in discus with a throw of 48.22m followed by his teammates Worthington (44.78m), Billeter (44.42m), Riegel (42.53m) and David Lorek (42.08m) in fifth through eighth place.
- In shot put, Riegel and Worthington took the first two places at 16.72m and 16.38m, respectively. Presley and Lorek took fourth and fifth place with throws of 15.68m and 14.95m.
- Hallie won shot put with a throw of 14.26m, which is the ninth-best throw for a RedHawk ever. Her teammates, Ili (13.01m), Luczak (11.83m), Cupp (11.53m) and Kagy (11.37m) took fourth through seventh place.
- Clark Helgason took first in men's javelin with a throw of 53.69m, Matthew Howard took second with a throw of 51.72m, CJ Johnson Jr. took third with a throw of 47.00m and Billeter took fifth with a throw of 42.48m.
- In women's javelin, Melchiorre and Maggie Dougherty took first and second place with marks of 40.04m and 38.60m, respectively. Melchiorre's throw is the 10th-best in program history. Hallie threw 27.63m for fourth and Berwanger threw 21.54m for sixth.
- The sole 4x100 team of Camryn Dunn, Riley Betz, Maya Reed and Jessup-Aiken ran a collective time of 47.3 seconds.
- The Miami men dominated the 1500.Tom Heal (3:49.43), Anton Martinez (3:50.51) and Ben Fahnestock (3:54.51) swept the podium, followed by teammates Evan Jarold (3:55.08) in fourth, Josh Razor (3:56.66) in sixth, Charles Namiot (3:57.37) in seventh, Weston Naville (3:58.71) in ninth, Petros Sanchez Ropero (3:59.25) in 10th and Nick Dunn (4:02.70) in 11th.
- In the women's 1500m, Monica Guijarro ran a time of 4:39.08 for fourth place, Linda Conchetto ran a time of 4:44.58 for fifth place and Cara Razavi ran a time of 4:49.66 for seventh place.
- Jaxson Tober and Broderick Brittle were the only competitors in the 110m hurdles, Tober took the slight victory with a time of 14.59 seconds, and Brittle finished with a time of 14.86 seconds.
- Madison Berger and Garvin were the only athletes to compete in the 100m hurdles. Berger took first in a close race with a time of 15.13 and Garvin came in with a time of 15.36.
- The Miami men swept the podium in the 400: Joey Valeski led with a 47.57, Micah Schuster took second with a 49.05 and Dominic Jackson finished third with a 49.13.
- Keena Sanders (58.36) took fourth, Olivia Cebalo (58.75) took fifth, Sophia Scavuzzo (1:00.57) took sixth and Addison Smith (1:03.04) took eighth in the 400m dash.
- Matthew Shuler won the men's 100m dash with a time of 10.49. Jayson Harrison took third with a 10.96, Mitchell Wiemuth took fourth with a 11.05, Remy Schulz took fifth with a 11.10 and R'Monee Brown took sixth with a 11.16.Â
- Jessup-Aiken ran a PR of 11.94 seconds in the 100m dash, tying the 10th-best time in Miami history. Her teammate, Katelyn Pratt, took second place with a time of 12.50.
- Luke Mussard and Adrian Stechschulte took the first two places in the men's 800m, with times of 1:53.78 and 1:53.95, respectively.
- Avery Emerson ran a 2:11.91 and Eve Traficanti ran a 2:15.46 for first and second in the women's 800, respectively.
- Tober took first in the 400m hurdles with a time of 55.73, Josh Mikulka took second with a time of 57.38 and Brittle took third with a time of 1:00.86.
- In the women's 400m, Mae Reed took first with a time of 1:03.89, Berger took second with a time of 1:06.16 and Sydney Harmon took third with a time of 1:06.25.
- Dunn and Jessup-Aiken took the first two places in the 200m dash with times of 24.76 and 25.26. Other RedHawks included Sanders in fourth with a 25.59, Cebalo in fifth with a 25.78, Pratt in seventh with a 26.81 and Scavuzzo with 27.61.
- The men's 4x400m team of Schuster, Valeski, Stechschulte and Jackson finished the race with a time of 3:27.17.
- Two Miami women's teams competed in the 4x400, as the A team finished in 4:00.06 and the B team finished in 4:16.56.
