Biography
PRIOR TO MIAMI
- Owns school records in discus (147'9), outdoor shot put (40’3), indoor shot put (40'5) and weight throw (44'10.25)
- Broke a 42-year-old New Richmond district record with throw of 141'3
- Captured silver in weight throw and bronze in shot put at indoor state meet during her senior year
- Took fifth place in discus at state meet as a senior
- Won district and regional titles and finished fourth in state in discus as a junior
- Earned GGCL championships in discus and shot put as a junior and again as a senior
- Placed sixth at regionals in shot put as a junior
- Parents, Mike Berwanger and Amy (Lavengood) Berwanger, were both throwers for Miami in 1990s; Mike was a 1994 All-American and both are still in the record books for top-10 discus marks
- Won a 2023 state title in volleyball
