RedHawks Add Multiple Names to All-Time Lists in Louisville, Ashland

LOUISVILLE, Ky.-- The RedHawks competed at the University of Louisville Clark Wood Track and Field Invitational and the Ashland Alumni Open this weekend. Avery Emerson ran the third-fastest 800 in program history with a time of 2:07.85. Nora Zubillaga ran the fifth-fastest 1500 in program history at 4:26.13. Ella Garvin produced the fifth-best high jump for a RedHawk with a mark of 1.75m. Camryn Dunn ran the third-fastest 100m time in program history, finishing in 11.73 seconds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Day 1
● In Louisville, Emerson won the Division A 800m dash, running a personal best time of 2:07.85, which is the third-fastest 800 time for a RedHawk. Eve Traficanti also ran the 800, placing fifth with a time of 2:12.54.
● In the men's 800, Dominic Jackson placed third in the Division A race with a time of 1:51.35. Adrian Stechschulte and Luke Mussard also ran the 800, with times of 1:55.02 and 1:55.48, respectively.
● Lauren Jessup-Aiken and Dunn competed in the Division A 200m dash; Jessup-Aiken ran a season-best time of 25.02 and Dunn ran a time of 25.20.
● In the men's 200m, Matthew Shuler produced a time of 21.67 and Mitchell Wiemuth ran a time of 23.01.
● In the women's Division A 400m hurdles, Mae Reed ran a personal-best time of 1:03.38 for 19th place. Madison Berger ran a time of 1:06.65 and Sydney Harmon ran a time of 1:13.48.
● Jaxson Tober was the sole RedHawk to compete in the men's Division A 400m hurdles, finishing in 57.86.
● Cara Razavi took fifth place in the 5K with a season best time of 17:47.03.
● Evan Jarold won the men's 5K with a time of 14:59.52. Weston Naville also competed in the 5K, taking 10th with a time of 15:32.27.
● Nate Hollingsworth jumped 2.03m for fifth place in the Division A high jump.
● In Division B pole vault, Quinn Kroneker took tenth with a vault of 4.42m.
● Kirk Knecht jumped 6.16m in Division B long jump. Maya Reed jumped 5.43m and Kylie Adams jumped 5.22m in the women's section of the same division.
● In Ashland, Owen Billeter placed fourth and Blake Presley placed eighth in the men's hammer with throws of 55.56m and 53.59m, respectively.
● In women's hammer throw, Kate Hallie led the RedHawk women with a throw of 46.23m, Sharron Kagan threw 45.97m, Kristen Berwanger threw 45.40m and Sophia Ili threw 41.85m.
● In the men's hammer elite section, Ben Riegel (58.13m) took fifth and Gabe Asbury (57.30m) took seventh.
● Maggie Dougherty won women's javelin with a throw of 41.07m and Allie Melchiorre took third with a throw of 38.41m.
● Clark Helgason took second in men's javelin with a mark of 58.70m and CJ Johnson Jr. took eighth with a mark of 47.49m.
Day 2
● In Louisville, Zubillaga took second in the Division B 1500m with a personal best time of 4:26.13, which is the fifth-best time in Miami history. Emerson took eighth in the same race with a time of 4:40.49.
● Kylie Adams ran the 100m hurdles in 15.40 seconds in the Division A race.
● In the 110m hurdles, Jaxson Tober took 12th, finishing in 14.65 seconds, and Broderick Brittle finished in 15.43 seconds.
● The Miami women swept the Division A steeplechase podium with Linda Conchetto taking first with a personal-best time of 10:30.79, Monica Guijarro taking second with a personal-best time of 10:52.56 and Grace Streek taking third with a time of 10:54.94.
● Anton Martinez won the men's steeplechase with a personal-best time of 8:52.54; Petros Sanchez Ropero took second with 8:55.23 and Tom Heal took fourth with 9:15.42.
● Garvin jumped 1.75m in Division A high jump, the fifth-best jump for a RedHawk ever and good for second in the section.
● Emily Eterovich placed second in the division B pole vault, tying her PR of 3.97m.
● In the Division A 400m dash, Keena Sanders ran a season's best of 57.38 seconds and Olivia Cebalo ran a time of 58.61 seconds.
● In the men's Division A 400m, Joey Valeski took tenth place with a time of 47.87 and Micah Schuster finished in 49.57 seconds.
● Dunn ran a personal best in the 100m with a personal best time of 11.73 seconds, tying the third-best time in program history and placing 12th. Riley Betz ran a time of 11.88 seconds, tying her own ninth-best time in program history and Lauren Jessup-Aiken finished in 12.09 seconds.
● In the men's 100m, Rondale Carridine finished in 10.49 seconds for tenth and Matthew Shuler finished in 10.84 seconds.
● In the men's 1500m Division A, Luke Mussard placed fifth with a time of 3:48.67 which is a personal-best time for him. Ben Fahnestock also ran a personal best of 3:51.76 for 12th place. Josh Razor ran a personal-best time of 3:52.39 and Nick Dunn ran a personal-best time of 4:01.25.
● The RedHawk women ran a season's best time of 3:51.79 in the 4x400m relay with a team of Reed, Cebalo, Sanders and Jessup-Aiken.
● The Miami men finished the 4x400m relay in 3:17.75, a season's best time for the team of Schuster, Jackson, Stechschulte and Valeski.
● In Ashland, Reilly Worthington threw 16.31m for second place in shot put, Presley threw 15.80m for seventh place and David Lorek threw 13.31m for 12th place.
● In women's discus, Berwanger took ninth place with a mark of 37.42m.
● In the elite shot put section, Riegel threw 16.43m for fourth place.
● In the elite discus section, Hallie won with a throw of 51.75m and Caroline Kagy finished eighth with a throw of 40.89m.
● In the men's discus, Richard Obioha and Owen Billeter took second and third place with throws of 48.51m and 47.63m, respectively. Worthington took sixth place with a mark of 46.24m, Lorek took 12th with a mark of 43.80m and Riegel took 16th with a mark of 42.10m.
● In the women's shot put, Ili took first with a mark of 13.09m, Ava Luczak took seventh with a mark of 12.26m, Sara Cupp took 12th with a mark of 11.27m and Caroline Kagy took 17th with a mark of 10.82m.
● In the women's shot put elite, Hallie took eighth with a throw of 14.25m.
UP NEXT
Next weekend, the RedHawks will travel to Columbus, Ohio to compete in the Jesse Owens Invite at The Ohio State University. Competition will begin on Friday, May 2 and continue through Saturday, May 3.
