RedHawks Set to Host CMU Friday Evening

THIS FRIDAY: Miami continues Mid-American Conference play by returning to Millett Hall to host the Central Michigan Chippewas on Friday, Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m.Â
ABOUT CENTRAL MICHIGAN: In the 2025 season, Central Michigan went 9-21 and 6-12 in the MAC. The Chippewas are currently 0-17 (0-4 MAC) after most recently dropping a pair of matches to Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan. Central Michigan was selected to 10th overall in the MAC Preseason Poll.Â
The Red and White are 42-30-1 when facing off with the Chippewas. Miami has won the last two matches versus Central Michigan, as the RedHawks earned a 3-2 win on Friday, Nov. 7 and a 3-1 victory on Saturday, Nov. 8.
TELEVISION: Friday's match against Central Michigan will be available to watch on ESPN+.

RECENT ACTION: The Miami University volleyball team traveled to Ball State and secured a four-set victory (25-16, 19-25, 25-18, 25-20) on Tuesday evening. This win marked the RedHawks' first road victory versus Ball State since Oct. 25, 2019. Molly Creech led all players with 20 kills. Kamryn Utley produced the most assists for the RedHawks, while Holland Van Deusen followed closely behind with 20 assists and added a match-high three service aces. Defensively, Rachel Morgan had a team-high 20 digs, and Lydia Michelin led the match with nine blocks.
SERVING SPECIALISTS: This season, the RedHawks have already produced 91 service aces, averaging 1.75 service aces per set and out-serving opponents 98-52. Miami ranks first in the MAC and 62nd in the nation in aces per set (1.75/set). Grace Kreutz leads the team in serving, as she is first in the MAC and ranks 68th nationally in aces per set (0.45/set). Earlier this season, Kreutz collected a career-high six service aces in a single match versus South Carolina State.
CONFERENCE/NATIONAL RANKINGS:Â
STRONG START: The Red and White concluded non-conference play with an 8-3 record (best start to a season since 2013). During that stretch, the RedHawks won seven straight matches, which was the longest win streak since Miami recorded nine consecutive wins in the 2019 season.Â
