HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Miami scored two runs in the bottom of the second to take an early 2-0 lead. David Novak took an HBP and Ryan Novak and Dominic Krupinski each walked. Keenan Proctor singled to right field to send David Novak in for Miami's first run. Blake Buzzeo added to the lead with a single to center that sent Ryan Novak in to score.
- Bellarmine answered with two runs of their own in the top of the third on three hits.
- The RedHawks pulled out a four-run fourth inning with just two hits. Krupinski and Proctor walked and a groundout advanced both runners. A balk scored one run and a double to left by Dillon Baker scored one more. Baker stole third and scored on a groundout. Anthony Zarlingo made his way to third base via a triple down the right field line and later scored on a wild pitch to make it 6-2.
- Miami tacked on one more run in the bottom of the fifth. Ryan Novak walked and Krupinski took an HBP. Both runners advanced on a groundout and Buzzeo hit a sac fly to grow the lead to 7-2.
- The Knights managed two runs in the top of the sixth, capitalizing on two hits and two walks to pull within three, 7-4.
- The RedHawks grew their lead to six in the bottom of the sixth, scoring three runs. Ty Batusich walked and Zarlingo singled to right field. Evan Appelwick singled to load the bases. David Novak hit a sac fly, sending around Miami's eighth run of the day. Ryan Novak hit a two-RBI single to center to round out a 10-4 final score.

- Zarlingo went 2-for-5 with two runs.
- Appelwick went 2-for-4 with one run.
- Ryan Novak went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBIs, and three walks.
- Proctor went 1-for-2 with one RBI, one run, and a walk.
- Buzzeo went 1-for-2 with two RBIs.
UP NEXT: Conference play resumes this weekend with a three-game road series against the Ohio Bobcats. Game one is on Friday and is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
