- 6:20 2nd (Miami 3-1) | Four minutes later, Miami doubled its lead. Casper Nassen retrieved a puck behind the FSU net and Bradley Walker skated it around the perimeter of the offensive zone before finding Thompson with a pass. Thompson ripped a shot over the Ferris State goaltender for his first collegiate goal to up the RedHawks' lead to 3-1.
- 15:59 3rd (Ferris State 3-2) | The Bulldogs pulled within 3-2 with four minutes remaining in the contest, as Max Itagaki started a 3-on-2 break and finished off the play at the end to make it a one-goal game. Gavin Best and Xavier Jean-Louis had the assists.
