HOW IT HAPPENED
- 16:27 2nd (Miami 1-0) | Nassen broke through to give Miami the lead and the game's first goal late in the middle period. Michael Quinn fired a shot from the blue line that ricocheted off Kocha Delic in front and Nassen was there to finish over ASU goaltender Connor Hasley.
- 17:08 3rd (Arizona State 1-1) | Court evened the score with less than three minutes to play in regulation on a long shot from near the blue line. Cullen Potter won a faceoff in the Devils' offensive zone to Justin Kipkie to set up the tying goal.
- 1:07 OT (Miami 2-1) | Deputy secured the win for the Red and White in the extra session after Delic initially kept the Miami possession alive and sent a pass back to Vladislav Lukashevich. Deputy then took a feed from Lukashevich, cut inside an ASU defender, and scored past Hasley to help Miami earn an extra point in the NCHC standings.
NOTES
- Deputy finished with a team-high six shots on goal and was recognized as the First Star of the Game.
- Delic, the Second Star, recorded his first career multi-assist game and produced five shots on goal.
- Drobac's 37 saves was the most by a Miami goaltender in a victory since Feb. 25, 2023 at Minnesota Duluth when Ludvig Persson had 50 stops; that game was also Miami's last road win in NCHC play before Friday's outcome.
- Miami was perfect on the penalty kill (5-for-5) against a team that came in tied for fifth in the nation in power-play goals.
- Nassen produced his fifth goal of the season.
- Quinn picked up his 10th assist of the season and the 20th of his career.
- Miami remained unbeaten in overtime this season (4-0-2).
