HOW IT HAPPENED
- 1:58 1st (Miami 1-0) | It didn't take long for the RedHawks to get on the board, as Grimes took a pass from Justin Stupka in the neutral zone and skated into the middle of three CC defenders before firing a shot past goaltender Kaidan Mbereko less than two minutes into the contest.
- 4:08 1st (CC 1-1) | The Tigers answered back in a matter of minutes, as Drew Montgomery collected the puck along the boards and found Colton Roberts at the point. Roberts advanced toward the goal and let loose with a shot to tie the game at 1-1.
- 8:08 1st (CC 2-1) | The visitors converted on the game's first power play to take a 2-1 lead later in the period. Blais-Savoie and Tomas Mrsic exchanged passes, leading to Blais-Savoie then hitting a one-timer from the right circle. Connor Hvidston had the second assist.
- 4:59 2nd (Miami 2-2) | Grimes netted his second goal of the game in the middle stanza, tipping home a long-range blast by Michael Quinn on a RedHawk power play. Grimes had initially retrieved a rebound from a Ryan Smith shot to keep possession for Miami before then hustling to the front of the net and being rewarded at the end of the play. Quinn and Smith were credited with the assists.
- 11:52 2nd (Miami 3-2) | The RedHawks went back on top later in the second period when Matteo Giampa dropped a pass behind him through his legs to a trailing Quinn on the rush and Quinn then connected with Delic on a perfect backdoor pass. Delic finished off the play at the far goalpost to give the Red and White a 3-2 lead.
- 7:08 3rd (CC 3-3) | Colorado College evened the score on a third-period power play. After a give-and-go between Mrsic and Bret Link, Blais-Savoie received the puck from Mrsic and looped around the top of the zone from the left point to the right circle before shooting to make it 3-3.
- OT/SO | Miami had multiple opportunities to win the game in overtime, including a 3-on-1 rush in the final 10 seconds and a one-timer off the ensuing faceoff with just over two seconds showing on the clock. However, Colorado College hung on to keep the game tied and then earned a second point in the standings after Bret Link was the only player for either team to convert a shootout opportunity.
