HOW IT HAPPENED
- 2:15 1st (Miami 1-0) | The RedHawks jumped on top early, capitalizing on the first power play of the game. Kocha Delic sent a pass from the point to Matteo Giampa, who backhanded the puck toward the net for Grimes to tip home as the Red and White took a quick 1-0 lead.
- 11:56 1st (Arizona State 1-1) Arizona State evened the score on a power-play goal later in the period, as Cruz Lucius fired a pass the width of the rink for Schimek to finish on the far side. Cullen Potter started the play and was credited with the second assist.
- 14:00 1st (Arizona State 2-1) Two minutes later, the Sun Devils took the lead. A give-and-go between Sean McGurk and Schimek led to a McGurk tally to put the visitors up 2-1. Lucius tipped the puck ahead from his own zone to get the sequence started, adding his second assist of the night.
- 19:03 3rd (Arizona State 3-1) | ASU capitalized on a late penalty to buy some breathing room. Schimek won an offensive-zone faceoff to Jack Beck in the middle, who quickly turned and shot for a power-play goal.
- 19:41 3rd (Arizona State 4-1) | The visitors capped the scoring with 19 seconds remaining, as Potter collected an empty-netter off feeds from Johnny Waldron and Richard Baran.
